  1. Hey there Darky! So, you're girlfriend is living near your twin, Drakzone? Hmm, could be trouble... You really should get yourself back up to Langar for some more jumping! You owe your shiny Gath and that garish Symbi suit some airtime... B
  2. Hmm, Not many have chimed in on this one - considering loads of us from the UK have jumped in the States. I've jumped in the US a couple of times now. As long as you are licensed to skydive in your own country, and have a current membership of your country's Parachute Association then things are fine, just go and jump. If you are jumping non-TSO'd kit, then you just sign a waiver to say that you are happy to jump that kit and won't let anyone else jump it. The S&TO will check your license, membership, logbook & kit. If all is in order you can jump. You don't need to be a member of the USPA. Just make sure you've got medical insurance during the visit... B
  3. Man, this is getting *way* too serious! I don't think the original dz.com "big" way (4) would have happened if there were loads of rules in it! KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid. The idea was to meet up from 4 different countries, drink beer, let skreamer shag the rabbit, eat ribs and skydive. None of them stinkin' rules... B
  4. Damn Gus, you really are a dumb ass!! Remind me again why I only jump with you when you really plead and let me make fun of your *cool* goggles... Seriously mate, scary stuff. We're both just starting to jump camera and it's an easy thing to do - get all involved in what you're doing and lose awareness. Let's keep each other in check when I get back! Glad you're safe though bud... Even if you do wear *cool* goggles! B

Lisa, I haven't been posting here in the forums much recently, but I for one certainly appreciate the advice you've given people since I've been on here (1 1/2 years or so). Don't give it up! B.

Is this going to degenerate into "Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!" ??? Oh, it is? Goody... Freebird, take a bit of time to read the manufacturers websites, ask other people on your dropzone(s) and carefully consider what you are proposing to do. We don't want to see you on the next injury/fatality list. B.

ALWAYS be afraid when the winds are high... B.
  8. Emma, I agree with you, I've done a few bungee jumps and they are WAY more scary than skydiving! Sort of like base jumping with a static line! B.
  9. Rollercoasters don't do it for me anymore, but I went out in an aerobatic plane (Decathlon) during my visit to Sebastian - and that really did impress me! Hammerheads, Cuban 8s etc, the guy knew how to fly that thing! Hmm, a pilot's licence is calling... B
  10. Wingi, Where abouts are you in Florida? I'll be down here at Sebastian until Friday and then it's up to Orlando and back to the UK, give the DZ a bell and put a call out for me! 1-800-SKY-DIVE. B.
  11. Anyone going to be in Sebastian? I'm down here for the next couple of weeks, so if you pop down, put a call out for me at manifest! (Ben Wilkins) blues B.
  12. I've got the pro-track, but it mounts the same. Take the earpiece out of the gath (for keeping water out...). Place the mounting bracket where you wanna mount it (mine is directly over the ear-hole, on the outside of the helmet, with the alarm hole facing towards my ear). Drill 4 holes in the helmet and cable-tie it tot the helmet. Add your pro-dytter and then cable tie that to the bracket - this stops it getting knocked out by risers etc - ask Skreamer about that... Ben.
  13. Merrick, Sorry to hear that you lost the job dude! Get another one soon to keep the habit up! Good luck. Mark, Sorry to hear about you too! Was good to meet up in Amsterdam, the girlfriend wants to come over to Canada, so we'll pop over and say hi at some time! I was out of work for 3 months with the layoff from Nortel Networks, but have found a contract to keep me in jump tickets for a little while longer... There is work out there!! Good luck you two! Ben.

  15. Chuck, I don't need to tell you this, but knowing Will, he might just about be able to manage a melba toast...! There'll be some more Melba toasts in sebastian next week!! B.
  16. Remi, Don't forget to wrap up warm now... Have fun in Spain dude! B
  17. F3lier, When engaging in darkside antics, our normal procedure is to break at 5,000ft, turn 180degs then instead of going flat, go into a v.steep dive/track, becoming a flat track. This stops the corking problem and gives you time to look around. Works for us. 3B.
  18. Marc, See you at Sebastian then. Put a call out for me! Bring others along. Drink beer. Eat food. etc. B.
  19. Wingster, There'll always be another day to jumpt the LET!! Don't despair mate! B.
  20. Wingi, I'm sure if you make it to Sebastian, us Limey's might be able to shout you a jump ticket...
  21. Then again, the sun isn't shining, the water is bloody freezing and there are no babes in the close vicinity.... Shit, you got it good Sangiro!
