  1. Absolutely. Not only was the reply sent on Sunday, he offered to replace the interface completely FOC if it was faulty (it's out of its warranty).
  2. Problem solved. Stefen from L&B emailed and explained that a 'spike' in communication between JumpTrack I/F and PC would cause missing charts (in the last 10). Tried again and all seems well. Unfortunately disk with backup of previous jumps is corrupt and so I guess I have lost those for good (damn!) Far away is close at hand in images of elsewhere.
  3. I've just reinstalled JumpTrack onto my system and downloaded the info from my ProTrack. However, unlike the previous installation on the same system using exactly the same setup, Jumptrack now only displays charts for the last few jumps even though the info for the other jumps is there (it all shows up in the colomn on the left of the screen. All the info is there for each jump but JumpTrack tells me that detailed info isn't available for most of the other jumps. What goes on here??!! Far away is close at hand in images of elsewhere.

  6. Just stumbled across this site which amused me. Might amuse some of you as well. http://www.itsanoutrage.co.uk/ This guy is VERY angry and quite rightly so Far away is close at hand in images of elsewhere.
  7. It was a VERY hard opening and there were a couple of line twists. Don't know about the pack job as it is club kit and was packed by A.N. Other. I only jump two rigs at our club and hard openings (though this last was harder than usual - MUCH) seem to be the norm with this particular rig. (Note to self: Must buy own rig) Far away is close at hand in images of elsewhere.
  8. After six oh so long months without a jump I finally made it back in the air today for a couple and it felt oh s-o-o-o-ooooo good! Having a riser crack me under the chin (don't ask 'cos I don't know- and I think my jaw is broken) took the edge off it a little but hey! what the heck! That's all part of the fun. Yippppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. If you jump in the UK you will already have done your unstable exit. If you can right yourself from the tumbling of an unstable exit then your dive exit shouldn't be a problem. Far away is close at hand in images of elsewhere.

    Lost my Clown...

Stanley was here. He turned up Tuesday evening looking dishevelled and somewhat forlorn. It had been raining all evening. His hair was flat and his greasepaint ran down his face. He didn't knock. The security light came on. It wasn't a cat. Cat's don't activate my security light. It certainly wasn't a gecko. I looked out of the window and saw Stanley. He was impatiently prodding at the keys on my keysafe on the porch. He didn't know the combination. Too many digits. Prod...prod...stab...stab. He jumped and took a step back when I opened the door. He nearly tripped over his own oversized shoes. I looked to the end of the drive and noticed his comedy car parked by the side of the road. One door was hanging off and there was steam emanating from under the hood. The trunk was open also and there appeared to be the end of a pool table sticking out. A deflated raft was trailing from one of the fenders. Stanley was here. Far away is close at hand in images of elsewhere.
  11. Hey guys, I will be on holiday in Florida for two weeks from September 6 and hopefully will be paying Zephyrhills a visit to make a jump or two. If you see an ugly English guy dressed in a garish (red, yello and blue) Symbi and an even more garish Gecko and looking terminally bewildered, that'll be me. Please say hello. I'm not dangerous. L-B rock!!

Update on previous post. The interface came today. It's actually a USB to serial adaptor which will allow any serial device to connect to a PC, not just the ProTrack Interface. I bought two of these adaptors a few weeks ago for other serial devices and I paid £50 for them! L-B sent this to me completely FREE OF CHARGE, not even postage. Those guys ROCK!!
