  1. Hutch, CW Racing, Skyway, Schwinn Predator Z-rims, Skyway mags VHS copy of "Rad" Ah yes
  2. The spoke wrench is your friend I like a bit firmer tire because I can generate, and maintain more speed that way. Low tires feel sluggish to me, and I feel more likely to bend a rim when I case something.
  3. Follow the inflation recommendations printed on the sidewall of the tire. Overinflation can produce exciting results! There are flatland tires that can accept up to 120 psi. That is rock hard! I usually run around 40 psi. Stick to what the tire was designed for. If it's too soft for you, buy new ones that will accept higher pressure.
  4. Currently that discipline is referred to as flatland. This is by far the toughest of all sports I've attempted. The best way to get into it is to piece one of your GT's together, bolt on some pegs to all four axles, and attempt to balance on them whilst rolling. This will result in bloody palms, and shins, but once you hit that balance point you'll get the idea of where you can take it. Good luck! I've been heavily involved in various BMX related activities for the last 12 years or so. Mainly I ride street and dirt, but I dabble a bit in ramp riding. Nowadays my bike is neglected!
  5. As long as he remembers that 2000 is ground zero, there shouldn't be any problems.
  6. Uh-Oh! My boss just caught me spanking the monkey on the clock........again!
  7. there is a short skydiving sequence in "Transporter". Just watched that this weekend. Very short scene, but kinda cool!
  8. I have not taken a canopy control class as of yet. My home DZ is kinda small and has yet to offer such a class. Actually, my home DZ is no longer operating. I'd jump at the opportunity to attend such a class. I feel that any way I could impove on a skill that increases my safety would be worthwhile to improve.
  9. Great pics. Those will make my day much better tomorrow in my cube!
  10. Which license is required to make a night jump? Will an A get one on the plane?
  11. The way I see it, borrowing music from before mentioned website is no worse than borrowing a CD from a friend. Only difference is, you've never met your friend before!
  12. Although not a kegerator, we have a fridge containing 5 gallon pressurized vessels of beer, courtesy of a local mirco-brew owner, who also jumps there. Very tastey way of ending a day!
  13. I've taken quite a liking to sewing. My first project was a jumpsuit. Turned out great, after multiple modifications. Now my wifes got me sewing pillows, window coverings, and all kinds of stuff. I do enjoy it, especially the skydiving stuff. My brother has been waiting close to 10 weeks for his professionally made suit to come in. I just laugh as he puts on the dz's carrot suit!
  14. Those pics turned out great! I know everyone enjoyed out trip to Monterey greatly, and intend on returning very soon! That sunset load definetely did it for me!!
  15. Thats funny hang gliding showed up in the forums today! I grabbed a flyer on a local hang glider school today. I tried to call the guy today, but I think he must've been out hang gliding today. I thought I'd call him this week, because like skydiving, hang gliding is one of those things I've always wanted to do. I told my wife, "I just want to try it once". She wasnt' amused because I said that not long ago about skydiving.
  16. After completing AFF, I've done several solo jumps, and with no point of reference, it's hard to tell what exactly is going on. I was becoming bored with it. This last weekend I jumped with my friend and we tried turning some very basic points. It was a real eye opening experience, as well as being a whole lot of fun. Over dinner that evening, I spoke with a DZ JM and he suggested doing exactly that to hone our skills. RW is a great way to develope flying skills, and is a prerequisite to freeflying. You've gotta learn to walk before you learn to run!
  17. that would really suck if that dog started freaking out, although if you saw that situation from a cameraman angle, it would probably make for some pretty funny footage! I wonder if they have a special "cut-away" handle if the need to deploy the dog arises?
  18. My little one is 2 1/2 now and she is already pumped on skydiving. My wife isn't too keen about that. She says "skydive" and "I wanna jump on the clowds". Way too cute! Check out the pic
  19. As a huge fan of "entry level" extreme sports, I actually look forward to watching this show tonight. They've been advertising it for several weeks now, and the day is today. If nothing else, this show should be viewed just to see Lee Anne Tweeden. Definetly worthwhile. Until now I always thought that skateboarding, and BMXing was just to have a good time. As a skydiver, I realize that I've put in a good 10 years of PLF training!
  20. I just created a profile, and my welcome email response contained a virus. Luckily my computer caught it before infecting my system. Has this happened to anybody else?
