  1. Why am I not surprised you'd suggest that!
  2. I drive approx. 2 hrs. to the dz of choice. There is one 1.5 hrs. away, but the extra half hour is worth it!
  3. Steroids or not, them theres some guns!
  4. I'm no steroidologist, but I'd be willing to bet that is not all natural. I think "steroid" is a very general term, and many are allowed in professional bodybuilding.
  5. I recently picked up a complete rig, minus AAD. At this point, money is the only thing preventing me from getting one. I have full intentions of purchasing one as soon as funds become available. The way I see it, it's not a crutch until you're leaning on it, and then I wouldn't want it any other way!
  6. I certainly wouldn't suggest someone start the use drugs to increase their creativity, but they do have a solid track record of producing creative masterpieces. I am totally against the idea of randomly drug testing people, unless they are in a position where others health/safety is directly/physically at risk.
  7. I recently changed my hours so and have effectively eliminated that hour of downtime at the end of the day. I start my day out an hour and a half before anyone else makes it to the office, so it's basically a dz.com free for all.
  8. I imagined a canopy entanglement resulting in a carney-style fair ride. Some people might actually pay for that!
  9. Drugs have probably produced some of the best music ever. Why would we want to eliminate that creative tool?
  10. I was quite impressed with the beauty of that dropzone over Easter. My ex-home DZ was a barren desert, so to see rolling green hills, and big puffy clouds was quite spectacular. The thought of landing on a windmill did cross my mind...
  11. Hey, how come Mrs. Howell isn't on there?
  12. If I were her, I'd wait until I completed AFF. The early purchase of equipment will surely rush her into something she should progess to.
  13. my name is Dana and I am a customer service rep for a company that manufactures ozone generators for swimming pools and spas.
  14. I think there was an article on him in one of my mags within the last couple of months. I saw him at Pipeline in Upland many years ago tearing up that bowl with Matt Hoffman (I think), complete with yellow outfits.
  15. SE Racing Landing Gear. Still sold today, and a solid set of forks. I know how you feel because I got rid of my Star Wars figures that seem to be quite profitable of ebay these days!
  16. Hoffman does kick ass, but Mirra kicks everyone's ass!
  17. The PK Ripper is probably the most sought after bmx bike. I've seen several of them fetching a good chunk of change on ebay.
  18. "It's not pink, it's majenta" I find myself saying "It's not a rainbow, it's a random spectrum of color"
  19. Bully Bikes! Matt (Mat) Hoffman owns Hoffman Bikes (appropriately named). As a matter of fact, I had the Hoffman Codor which is his signature bike. I actually have a video that has him BASE jumping a bridge into some freezing river in what appears to be the dead of winter. In that same video there is some footage of John Vincent "testing" some of Hoffman's bikes of a LARGE Norwegian fjord (BASE rig tested). Bikes failed terribly. He also BASE jumps the inside of a dome frequented by the super bowl. Pretty insane!
  20. Don't you have a Bontager? Who's the nerd now?
  21. 2-Hip Bikes owner Ron Wilkerson is still around. He puts on the "Meet the street" contest every year in San Francisco. Very popular among the pro's as it is a laid back event, compared to the heavily publicised X-games and gravity games. He's actually got some really good bikes too! Most bike manufacturers now are rider owned and operated, which makes me feel much better about spending a little bit more on a high end setup. Just about all bmx bike manufactures today have increased the thickness of the dropouts (aka rear hub plate). I think that was a common failure on heavily beaten freestyle frames. I remember one time I landed 270 off a launch ramp and my front wheel was probably 10-15 degrees out of true because the front dropout was badly tweaked. They are in the 3/8" thick range now!
  22. That bike is sweet! Although other than the nostalgia, I don't think it is as functional as a modern freestyle bike. A bitchin' bike none the less!
  23. I currently own a Volume Destroyer which is a great all-around bike. It is long, sleek, and reasonably light. I don't run four pegs because flatland isn't my primary gig, but I do run two on one side for grinds. I have some very basic flatland tricks which I can perform with the two pegs I have. I agree that setting up a street/ramp bike for flatland is better than flatland bike setup for street/ramp. Honestly if it's 20" with two wheels, it'll be plenty fun to ride!
  24. Iron Chef always puts me into some hypnotic state where I can't seem to work my finger to change the channel. Perhaps it's the exotic foods?
