  1. weatlh jump numbers sexual conquests -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
  2. I am seriously hoping you are not quoting me ... because I never said that Chuck, nor do feel I came remotely near even implying such. I actually found a lot of merit in the article, and for some of the reasons already expressed which, I don't believe bear repeating. I was really hoping this thread would inspire meaningful insights to the concept of what I thought was the intent of the article. "Wake-up call!" and not for a professional like you or masters with several thousands of jumps... but for people like me - in the high performance realm with good experience but who are still in apprenticeship. Oh yeah, reference my opening post, just FYI, you too could 'substantially' lower your score, from a 28 to an 11 by moving to 1:1, 170 rectangular... would you "feel" any safer? See....? it doesn't matter what, "I" feel. (you're the pilot)... know what I mean? . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
  3. In view of the opinoins expresssed thus far on this particular aspect , "...winner bragging..." I sense it is unanimous that this was inappropriate and un-professional conduct. Deserving of termination...? The enforcement philosophy of the jurisdiction is the determining factor. Would you fire two salesmen for having a competition for most closings in a month? Would you fire two doctors for most lives saved in a month? Would you fire two attorneys for most clients gotten off in a month? -Well maybe yes in this case, but I digress... -True Story- Historic- I was in traffic court one time and the judge announced at the beginning of the court-call that all tickets written by this one particular officer were dismissed. -Before hearing any of them!!! The [former] cop that wrote them was a psycho-whack-job and 3/4 of every court call were his 'cheesy' tickets. It had gone on for almost year and after repeated warnings from the Judge, the cop continued to stop and write everyone and their mother. He bragged often about how he wrote more tickets than anyone on the department or the county for that matter (he did) and it was obvious that he was a stroke. He got more complaints than anybody else in the department or the county for that matter also!!! Last I heard he was working a security job and trying to get on another department. Ass! . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!

  5. p.39 "Also To Consider ; [first sentence] 'While this survey is far from perfect..." -I thought it has some use a general guide Andy. I think dave made a good point and one which I acknowledge within the context of the questionanaire is that according to the scoring, mine would be much higher had it not been coincidental that I took canopy training and worked the shit out of my canopy last season... The training points appear to be permanent though. That I find curious??? since so much emphasis is placed on currency. -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
  6. Most excellent points!! I bet this is pretty common among most jumpers as well who have been using the same canopy for quite some time. And I am still among the -1000 crowd. My canopy was brand new last year and I spent a lot of extra time working with it, (I even took a canopy control course) and did lots of work up high! I'm afraid that in only a few hundred more jumps on this canopy, I'm in jeopardy of losing the, 'training/practice' points from the survey as well. . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
  7. Mine is currently a 37 Which places me in the High Risk catagory. I have -0- jumps in the last month (last three months) less than 200 jumps on my current canopy and I just didn't get enough jumps in last year (less than 200) - In the final analysis; It appears I can only cut my risk assessment points 'substantially' by lowering my wingload, upping my square footage and changing my canopy design... Nice questionnaire -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!

  13. Ok, sorry, I don't get it? So, she wakes up early to tend to her lawn (if she trimmed better during the week she might not have to get up so early on a Sunday) and this is disturbing? Maybe she should try a weed-eater or some other kind of turf maintenance. Hey....!!?? Am I am in the wright thread????! All these lawn maintenance threads lately have me a little confused... sorry -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
  14. I recommend the body-suit, or otherwise known as the "birthday-suit" . Although not appropriate for all occasions and can tend to distract other team members, the birthday - suit has some advantages: 1.) Its wash and wear 2.) It 'goes' with everything 3.) Grippers and booties are preferable - and fun 4.) one-piece/two-piece... its gender preference 5.) nobody remebers colors anyway... everybody remembers skin-tone!! 6.) you don't have to buy another one ....Besides, you're just starting out, right? Consider it a re-birth kinda, we all started out in, "birthday-suits" (someone else can post the 'dis-advantages' to the birthday-suit) . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!

  17. I just got a 330 a couple months ago and I'm still debating about how to mount it; I'm leaning towards a top-mount set up. The reason is the 330 is very wide and I haven't found a side mount box I really like. I'm waiting to hear from Cookie Composites about their new box for this camera. I've been playing with it at sea level and I am blown away by its versatility and product quality. Its not just a still camera, its not just a video camera; its a video/still combo phenomenon . I've got my base station set up for editing I could care less about the av thing in the field with the 101,105 etc... just give me the tape... I'll get it back to you. Mounting and settings are my only real areas of interest at the moment. I have a .5 lens and filters (for jumping) which serve nicely to protect the component lens. Video transfer is a non-issue; whatever capture device I use: I prefer the Sony Image Transfer to file, then I cut it up in Premiere. Resolution is fine for a product in this class. . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
  18. Beer and condiments make for a very delightul carpet-ride in most cases... and if your riding the bus make sure to always pass it to the left always to the left... ... or is it , to the right... in any case as long as its passing along I guess thats the point! . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
  19. I sent a message asking what the the model number was, if there was any information that might indicate what size it was. Also whether od not it came with a parachute or something, or was it just the back-pack? and how much batteries might cost to make it work properly? . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
