  1. Considering the offenders caviler attitude I'd say he did very well for not punching him in the face.
  2. Reading with awe the responses here. In reply to the first response, backintothesky posted a prime example above as to why this camera flyer did the right thing. From the attitude of the offender here he appears to be one of those fucksticks that is determined to land into the wind no matter what everyone else is doing or what he is told. Trying to place blame on the poster here is the one on a large list of the stupidest things I've ever seen here.
  3. They exist. Just remember the evil in a system is constant. And always remember: No matter how good she looks, someone somewhere is sick of her shit.
  4. '03 Road King. Just turned 70k miles. 60 of them put on by me in the 3 1/2 yrs we have owned it. Stock motor except for a few internal upgrades. I've bought a few pieces to finish it out since that pic but nothing dramatic. I have a set of cylinders sitting here that I'm gonna have bored to make it a 95 ci either this winter or spring. Also about to upgrade the swing arm and motor mounts.
  5. Wasn't Bob the twin brother he killed so he could take all the credit?
  6. I have been going out of my way lately to stop and tell people that their turn signals aren't working and they should get them checked. Hahahah!!! Some funny as hell reactions
  7. He looked pretty good for a terminal impact.
  8. Paragraphs are your friend. I'll probably be due for a currency jump by then. Maybe a little Electric 8 way.
  9. With that much riser hanging out you have a packing issue also. I could leave the covers on my Javelin open and never have the risers come out like that.
  10. Pretty sure that's the video that started this thread.
  11. Right.... so if it were me I would flip that person a cool million I think. First for respecting elders (rare these days) and second because she won a TON of money because of it. What's a mill to her now? No matter how much money a person has, they always have the ability to spend more than have. A mill here or there adds up. The winner has kids, grandkids, they all desrve their fair share. I'm sure the requsts for funds from around the universe have already exceeded her winnings. I hope the winner has enough time to enjoys her winnings
  12. He is talking about the fatality in NC where a jumper got on a plane and filmed a tandem without wearing a rig. At pull time the video person tried to pull and then realized he had no rig on.... I talked to the TM. He said he realized that the video person didn't have a rig on, but there was nothing he could of done and if the video person knew he didn't have a rig he might of tried to attach himself to the tandem pair (it is what I would of done)... Risking all three lives. This is not the only case of someone forgetting to put on their gear. I know a cameraman personally that walked to the plane carrying only his camera helmet and it was not until someone asked where his rig was that he realized he didn't have it. I did this very thing once. My rig was not ready when I would have started my normal gearing up. And still wasn't ready when I needed to shoot the video of the tandem walking to and boarding. I knew I didn't have my rig on when I started shooting but habit had me start climbing the ladder after the tandem. Of course someone said something. I checked my gear enough that there is no way I would have made it to even taxi much less all the way to altitude but I appreciate someone noticing. I still say when something like this happens it is a failure of everyone around. I understand it may have looked like it was routed correctly, but take an extra second and look at the people near you. I've caught several over the years and pissed a few people off that were trying to board the plane without there gear in order.
  13. Some of you can joke all you want about the camera issue. In many cases I agree that they probably play no part in an incident. In this case however the time he spent turning on his camera should have been used checking his chest strap.
  14. Because so many people equate chest strap undone with falling out of the harness. Opening with a chest strap undone is not a death sentence. That's what I'm trying to say. How can we change this? Seems like there was a lack of training in this specific circumstance. Perhaps it's more widespread. We used to have a program where new jumpers jumped with old timers and learned stuff like this from hanging around the dz. Now, they pay to jump with 100 jump wonders and leave the dz as soon as they are done jumping.

  16. That would be correct. I'll settle for naked.
  17. We sure are seeing a lot more of these "accidents" in the sport these days.
  18. I do have a chest strap from a rig that was cut off of me that is still attached to the main lift webs. That might be a fun experiment, but even if the dacron failed first, I'd still have to trust the rating over my experiment, since not all rigs use the same hardware or design. ***If you choose to do this in the air, good luck. Have fun. Make sure you get video. And make sure the executors of your will know that you wanted the video of this jump to be made public. 10-4 The bold text says it all. Go ahead man. You'll be fine.

Some of you people worry about too much shit. FB is neither good or bad. If you can't control FB I suspect there are other things in your life you have trouble controlling.
  20. Nothing to do with my screen name but here is what I would do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUi4BOpNnvo
