Over the weekend I received my very first truly negative comment about my interest in diving into the sky. So far most of the opinions have been either they think it is great and tell me they have always wanted to try it, or that they have no interest in it, and think it is a little crazy. I obviously don't really care about their opinion on the matter, and this person was not a terribly close friend anyways. But still, it was a little shocking... caught me off guard. I'll be honest, I didn't see it, and I didn't ask too many questions. I was just there to buy a tailgate to replace one that was damaged. From his somewhat legal-ish scrapyard. I used to know a guy who knew a guy who had about 300 acres of property. About half of that property was his own personal vehicle junkyard. The other half he had a big backhoe, and would dig up huge pits. Someone would steal a rig, drive it into the pit, they would cover it up, and a year or so later, when the heat was off, dig it back up, clean it up and resell it. I work in the core downtown of a big city, and we have about ten guys reading bibles and calling us all sinners within a 5 block area. Rain or shine, they are out there.
