I have no way to compare, but I have no doubt that ever age and generation has had its honorable warriors, and its brutal tyrants and killers. THESE days, though, the warrior is slowly being taken out of the equation. It is slowly becoming impersonal, robotic, and more destructive than ever. There are professional writers and English professors who don't always use correct grammar and punctuation. Sometimes people just cannot be bothered. Language is fluid. So long as the correct grammar/spelling/punctuation is there when it really counts, and so long as the message is understood, then who does it hurt? Personally I could use a few less texting short-cuts, like u for you, ur for your, u r for you are, etc. But again, so long as it is properly done when it counts, and gets the message across, all is good. When your behaviour and style is changed to reflect a need to conform to your perspective of other people's expectations. That is what people refer to when you are not 'being yourself' If I don't like a certain band, but all my friends do, and I think that if I want to fit in, I have to listen to it, so I do even though I don't like it, then I am not being myself. Sure... it is not a good way of saying it when you take it literally, but that is the English language for you. When was the last time you actually TOOK a piss or a shit? I can't say for sure... but each time I have gone so far, part of the trip for me is knowing I can face my anxiety and win. Makes me feel pretty good. But I do feel some anxiety on the way up for sure. When I am at the door, I tell myself to relax, and go over what I exactly I am about to do... ready, set, arch, relax, look at the plane... going over the procedure helps settle my anxiety. So far, for the most part, I have found it to be a great source of conversation. Most people ask me questions about it, want to know more. Some people simply shake their heads and say that it is not for them. When I get a really negative reaction, it just gives me the opportunity to refine my group of friends. Now, I just know that is "supposed to be" some kind of cut, but we'll put together a decent hockey team when it becomes a real sport anybody gives a crap about. I cannot speak for Aphid, but the way I took it was simply that from time to time the US DOES have a decent Olympic hockey team, and when they do, we start talking about it. Then again, it could be a cut. But at least in hockey there is a flow of action. Football... yeesh... BORING... action for 5 seconds, then nothing for ten minutes.

Not only the value in employee morale, but if I were to buy a PC, I would definitely consider a Lenovo as I think this gesture reflects very favorably on the company. I would be happy to put my $ in a company led by people with such ethics. I have in fact just bought one ... nowt wrong with it at all .. looks and breaths like the IBM that it surely is. You know, the Chinese are very good at propaganda. Looks like it worked for you. Rather than purchase a computer from an American or British company, you sold out to the Chinese. Personally I think the bonus should be given to ALL the employees equally, including the CEO and all the workers. It takes a team.
