    Plumbers?

I don't mean to be the ball buster here, but are you in CA? Anyway's you can trade a fireplace for work from someone??? CA can be very , err, let's say,... militant if something goes wrong. I saw the word duplex? Wet neighbors can turn into the worst kind of evil under these circumstances. Read the crap out of one of those how to do it for dummies books,
  2. Providing the required Internal Transaction Number (ITN) on the customs declaration form before mailing items with a value of more than $2,500, unless exempt under Census Bureau regulations. Ensure the ITN or exemption legend is clearly indicated on the customs declaration PS Form 2976-A in block 11. The abouve is the really , really short version! Iv'e been shipping stuff both ways on e-bay from Russia, Iv'e been told time and time again, inbound,...Don't worry, outbound worry when stuff starts to approach 500 us. You should not have any issues reciving a new canopy (CONGATULATIONS!!) if it is valued at 2,500.00 or less U.S.. C But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  3. sorry I was so short early'er, trying to do two things at once. The Micron's are generally for a smaller container, less than 310/326. You are asking about a 344?, yes?? So if you can see the chart then you already know UPT dosen't reccomend what you are asking with the sizes you have asked about, unless ....you are speaking about the Pilot 170 / Op 160 combo only! Do a search on this forum about "tight fitting," or "Full Fitting," and you can find a lot of info on this subject. A Mr. John Sherman
  4. What you are doing/contemplating is not advisable. Microns are also not available/ listed in this size you have stated: "344" your asking also if there is anyone out there who has done this,... I HOPE NOT! But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  5. qudo's to the modeerator, GLAD you said it!
  6. Risky how? Has it helped you learn what you wanted to learn? Is the feedback helpful or not? It's far from a "scientific sample" or rigorous market research, but you've received a variety of opinions and the discourse has stayed fairly respectful. I'm not sure you could/should expect much more on an open forum. SPEAKING ABOUT MANUFACTURER'S: We had some questions and concerns and,... paraphrasing NWFlyer somewhat regarding the subject of what might be: "Too Risky," and or what we can expect or should expect from our manufacturers the following should help understand and help to answere your question: This morning some of us had a question that we posted to this web site. This evening at around 5 pm we recived an answere, from the manufacturer! As NWFlyer points out , so to speak: nothing ventured, nothing gained. You needent have to experiment to see just how responsive some of these manufacturers can be! So I would do as she suggests. The following link/post is UPT responding to "jumpers," on the same day, which is generally typical of this forum: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3656871;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread I don't mean to single out any vendor over another, generally they all respond, if they are aware of the concern. Nor do I, or am I reccommending that this web site be used instead of a direct contact. Most manufacturers in this buisness are aware that their customers are a very demanding bunch. And they, at least in my experience are more than willing to serve as best they can! And as you have asked initally this is an American company, not just an overseas sales office, many as I do factor this in in our purchasing decisions! C NWFlyer (Krisanne)
  7. EXCELLENT DUDE!!! This little cunundrum shows up in many forms, the boat adrift, the stealing pills to save your wife, (from the pharmacy,) etc,. I take back everything I said... Well perhaps not the bit about my ex wife! The good news is, is the other person lives! Actually the point of these and other questions is to promote debate and examine your inner self. Typically this type of questioning in this day and age requires permission from some ethics board or such. And or takes place at a touchy feeleely seminar or similar. Except for the poor slobs thru history and many welfare moms, etc., I pray that we could put and end to these all too real life events that this question implies. I personally wont fly over the Andes again, especially with a soccer team. Watch the Happyness movie, it's fun!! Seriously,...Good job! C But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  8. I am responding to the above comment about "communicate directly...with the manufacturer," jesheee "I love you guys,...can't we all get along," The point being the manufacturers communicate directly on a daily basis, if you had read the stickey you would see a rather large list, communicating with the vendors and manufacturers is not an experiment as df8m1 is asking and if he had read the stickey he or it would know that the manufacturers are very, veery cummunicative! Thanks for pointing out my miscommunication. You don't need to point out that I have trouble spelling,...it's these blasted small buttoms and my fat fingers. C But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  9. A large part of skydiving is at least planning the dive! In other words, in this order, my life, the lives of others, and fun...all depend on keeping to the plan. Most skydivers are counting on others to do what they say they are going to do. You are forgiven the use of the word "hijack" a dive on your instructors because you are a noob, whuffo, Wally wanker, that dosent know any better...do it to me and I will do everything within my power to burn your tent and rig, etc...do it to any instructor and I will be the first in line to ensure you recive your just rewards... Can you recall the scene in the movie Frankenstien where the whole village is marching up the hill with flaming torches??? That will be minor if you continue to, or actually promote this type of behavior regarding playing jokes on your AFF instuctor in the air.
  10. This issue in the states is a time bomb. Just ask Bob Hoover. I am not surprized that this issue started in the UK, what with your mandatory retirement of all motor car opeerators and such? On the other hand the flying public, not based on any real science, here in the usa , has dictated mandatory exile of all ATP's, (Flying for a commeercial carrier, like Delta, etc) basically when you hit 60. Now I know that the age I just stated isn't the actual age, but in the bis,...it might as well be! (For all practicible purposes.) The military basically dumps you at 30, yes there are plenty of exceptions,...by that's my point! In a real and just world this should be an individual, case by case issue! It isn't. C Hey airtwardo, your awsome! generally when I post something it is a loaded question, or an answere with lot's to think about! The well publizized incident because it made it to some tv show...Frontline? or was it 60 min? Anyways it left the FAA with a lot of egg on it's face, so I have to be very carefull how I respond to some things...anyways so how is or are less than 500 inspectors who's job is not to enforce regulations in a climate because of "Homeland security," now that there is so much confusion between the FAA, DOT, HS, and the NTSB and for laughs throw in all of the great help local and State authorities provide by: "Helping." Not all incidents get reported, in fact a shitload of stuff never makes it to the : http://www.asias.faa.gov/portal/page/portal/asias_pages/asias_home/ and this is only one of about 40 .GOV sites that exsist... The point being a shitload of crash's never get reported,...think insurance, So do you reccomend taking away tickets at some age??? Or without comment, how do we find the Bob Hoovers, in the world, that is if in fact Bob was deserving of that close exam that he received??? Anyways glad you said it!
  11. http://www.makeithappen.com/spsj/acron.htm http://www.parametric.co.nz/skydive/skydivez.htm I wish this web site/Forum had those little buttons somewhere so that we all could rate the usfullness/value/humor/etc,... Cause that was a great contribution airtwardo

  13. Have you seen the movie: "Happyness???" Are you the one using your own ? ?" GLUE" ? to stick your favorite pictures to the wall??? Please enlighten us with some of this Well studied research??? I await some citations and or links to this research, your the one who has opened your mouth on this subject, now prove it! C But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  14. Did a search, diddn't find much. Anyone have any current news about CPI? thanks But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  15. DON'T LET THEM GET TO YOU, and as we all know you did the right thing by going to Orange! C But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  16. I always wondered why there were 4 pairs hanging from the bacl of the pilots seat. thought they were for him incase he had to bail. Deland must have great jump pilots cause all the planes have spares hanging by the pilot. I was there a week ago, and to answer your statment,...No they don't keep spares. C But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  17. This is a childish question. But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  18. yo mean Walmart?? I get a real rush looking at all the American flags in Walmart, with the little made in China tags on them NO. I watch the "Shark Tank," on TV other day,...And I was surprized to see that this show specializes in moving jobs offshore, just like MITT! I am tired to see companies move offshore, not good for our country. The problem is that no-one is going to switch AAD's, because a better, or even American Company makes it. Like comparing main canopies most individuals stick with just a few or stay with their first purchase. Which means your looking at the first time market, for the most part, tough market to penetrate, so to speak. Considering most startups want 80 percent margins and 100k take home in the envelope! Good Luck C But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  19. TOO EARLY TO TELL BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ALL THE FACTS, BUT HERE IS ANOTHER: Skydiver, 56, dies after parachute fails to open during jump at Scottish airfield Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2257856/Strathallan-Airfield-Skydiver-56-dies-parachute-fails-open-jump.html#ixzz2Hy7roMnA "However, the reserve parachute had not been pulled and investigators are probing whether the victim was too close to the ground by that stage for it to open and slow his fall efficiently." Anyone know more? C But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
  20. Speaking of "Fairy Tale": Isn't picture #2 a lie at worst, or at best ignorance of how this thing actually works? The skyhook, hook is about 5 feet from the end of the reserve pilot chute. His picture number 2 clearly shows the reserve pc in the middle being pulled upward! But we all know the reserve pc is at the very end of its own bridle, right??? But that is NOT what this picture shows! But yet to make this fantasy work the author states that the now free main risers can violently pull up the reserve pc? And yet the main is still in the bag????? If your going to bash the skyhook with this elaborate fantasy and attempt to mislead a gullible public, you have better go back to the drawing board and make up better pictures, or at least fully understand how something works before you bash it. You have also is this elaborate fantasy have yet to explain how a skyhook rig is less or more of an issue in a hypothetical entanglment? Speaking yet of the worst possible type of high speed horseshoe...the main pc is stuck and you ignore any attempt at proper procedure to pull it out of its bag? Next we have a main that is disloged via a pin bump??? But the main lines pay out just enough that we have a bag lock?? And we have a main bridle that dosen't move or release either??? But yet we have enough resistance on a pair of cutaway risers to drag the reserve pc??? You had better go back to the bashing drawing board or at least fully how something works before you start drawing incomplete pictures??? Just my 2 cents from LA. C Just a little tired so please excuse if I have crossed some line with language, it's 2 am and this is keeping me awake! But what do I know, "I only have one tandem jump."
