  6. Actually, PCA is more like IAD for BASE. I know BASE jumpers who did actual static line stuff on sub-200 ft. jumps and they were using some type of break cord. -Blind true and we've used wraps of masking and / or electrical tape securing bridle to a solid object. learning better techniques is generally a better thing. Craig
  7. some possible concerns that come to mind; 1. possible increased risk of entanglement / knotting during extraction from the pouch? 2. increased snatch force that may lead to canopy bridle attachment point damage? 3. it's different and not well tested? 4. bad idea for after deployment CReW just answering as an exercise because i don't know definitively why 12ft is bad. Craig

  12. not under the listed conditions. i don't really care about "him", but do care about overall WS activity at the DZ. and this" foreigner" has the potential to screw the pooch for other enthusiasts. 12' bridle???????????? is he my size? i'd like to try an S Bird.......... kleggo
  13. Yes, i'm a Luddite, and know very little about GPS technology other than there are satellites used to determine position.
  14. Here's a bit of an update. Since my previous post i've made; 3 jumps on the Classic II 11 jumps on the Phantom 2 thanks to DSE and Skydive Elsinore. DSE has proven to be a valuable resource and excellent instructor. Without doubt he has dramatically hastened my learning curve. Nest step is to rent a Tony T Bird from Simon @ Wicked Wingsuits to get another reference point. My primary goal remains max speed / best glide rate / max distance. i've found the Phantom 2 to be an excellent suit for intro flying and "flocking" as i learn. i can fly it pretty efficiently. i can flail and recover easily. i can fly with other people. i love the new arm zippers instead of the lace up wings. But, I'm not convinced it is the proper tool for my goal. cheers Craig
  15. ?????????????? I thought Jerry MacCauley wasn't around anymore to act as a team hazing consultant . Blue Skies brother. Craig
  16. i liked my CFlex very much. It was by far the most comfortable rig i've owned. the reserve container was a sweet design that was "rigger friendly" i liked the external reserver PC. i removed the catapult and never used it. cheers Craig
  17. been jumping since '81, was recently on extended hiatus, but have returned to aeroplanes so that i can get wingsuit current again. the walls in Europe have been calling me hard and i see no point in resisting
