Its a great DZ, really cant say enough good things about it. Fast planes, 15K altitude, huuuuuuge landing area, friendly staff, nice bar, easy to get to. Only thing its missing is a bunkhouse...

Seems that Spain is a popular destination for uk AFF students, due to generally great weather, cheaper prices and abundance of British instructors. People will always recommend the DZ and school they trained with, so in the spirit of the probable forthcoming discussion here are some of the more popularly argued for choices... www.freefallco.com www.freefalluniversity.com www.freefalladdicts.com www.skydivespain.com I have personal experience of the first (I did AFF with them), and I've visited the last one and seen their AFF operation when very busy (there were a whole lot of us collegiates out there at easter). I can thoroughly recommend both of them, although Empuriabrava (the first one) will always be my favourite (but I am biased...) :::Edited for spelling:::

I think most people are going to say that you should ask your instructor, and then look at the relevant safety articles on this site in the meantime. Skyhooks only come on Vectors (as far as I know, could be wrong), so that should help you narrow down your container choice...

In my brief skydiving career Ive jumped all 3 (a twin otter with side benches at empuria, a dornier g92 with straddle benches, and a fair few where it was the floor). I like the space you get when there are no benches, but its more comfortable with them in. I preferred the side benches to straddle ones too, just my personal preference I guess...

Im also going to jump on the 'defending Hinton' bandwagon. It was the first place I went to after coming back from Spain halfway through my consols, and they fell over themselves to get me back in the sky. Ive never had any problems any time Ive been back there (except the weather), and we take most of our first jump students there as well (despite the distance from the uni). Theyve had to tighten up a bit on the rules recently due to a few people trying to bend or break them, but I dont blame the DZ for that.

Bodybuilding.

I noticed there's a lack of recent reviews here, so thought I'd write one! I went over to Skydive Spain with the BCPA this easter, and was very impressed by the whole operation. Nothing was too much trouble, no question too stupid and they worked very hard indeed getting people into the air, even with the massive demands we put on their hire kit availability! An excellent dropzone for students too, you can progress as fast as you want to. All in all, an excellent DZ, I will definitely be going back in the summer for some FS coaching :)

Just got back from their opening boogie. Awesome DZ, dornier that goes to 15k, fantastic staff, everything you could want!

After a particularly eventful minibus trip... "See, people knock the whole praying thing, but it really does work!"

Viva espana! Tomorrow I'm off to Spain To jump out of planes.

At the moment, 40 minutes is pushing it... Spring has truly sprung!
