Congrats on the purchase. I know that you can also get tutoring at any Apple store. I set up appointments with a Mac genius for specific questions. Start playing with iMovie, just to get feeling on how a mac thinks.

I agree with this. I called around to different gear stores and got opinions from people that sell this gear for a living ( Mike @ Pier, Mel @ Skyworks..) I bought a Vigil 1. I had an issue with it and Vigil had great customer service. They sent me a loner to jump, and then a brand new Vigil 2. They even paid all shipping.

DSE, So what I am getting from what you are saying is that the camera will do well for skydiving. But, if the HC3 or HC5 are still great choices as well. What the CX7 gives you is a faster transfer to your computer and no lanc.
