Love my Avalanche. With the back cover, you canput your gear in and lock it up where no one can see it.
  6. The new version if iMovie is HD. I have FC express HD as well. For bigger projects FC gives you more options. iMovie should be good for tandems (that what I am going to anyway).
  7. Call Sony and send to one of their repair centers.
  8. I recently received my Odyssey back from Sunpath from have the #3 reserve flap replaced. Directly below this flap are where the RSL guide rings are located. They were previously removed from my container after I was told by Sunpath that was ok to do so. From the homepage Sunpath.com : There is a$15.00 inspection fee on ALL equipment sent in for repairs. No repairs will be processed without a completed repair sheet. If the RSL was mandatory, why wasn’t I notified that the rings would have to be put back on the rig? Why would Sunpath do a repair on a container and send it back un-airworthy?
  9. Has any heard the seen the schedule yet??
  10. This is a really cool add on for the XTI http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=Search&A=details&Q=&sku=465470&is=REG&addedTroughType=search
  11. iPhot does some basic editing features and it comes on your mac. I use Photoshop CS. Apeture looks really good, but I haven't gotten my hands on it yet. On the video side, Final Cut Express is awesome.
  12. put your camera in a heating pad at the begging of the day. Warm it up good. It really keeps the condensation away.
  13. Just remember that Cypres had problems when they started. Back then there wasn't the www to spread the info as fast.
  14. That's what I'm wearing at work right now.
  15. go buy final cut hd. much better program and has some awesome features. make sure that you have the latest version of quicktime running. Go to the apple in the top left, software updates. and also make sure your firewire is plugged in good.
  16. Good points Dave. Learn your canopy. Just because you have a light wing loading doesn't mean it's time to downsize. I put about 1200 on my xfire 114 wing laoded @ 2 before downsizing. Plus 500+ on a stilleto 135 before going to the xfire. Wingloading is import on the way a canopy flies as well as how drastic the movements become. Just remember, as the wing loading increases, so does speed, which gives you less time for reaction. Enjoy your canopy, and laugh with the guys kidding you about it.
  17. If you got out without checking the spot, it's not the fault of the group in front of you it's yours. The pilot may not like it, but it is your choise to leave the plane, ask for the go around. You are now adding to canopy congestion by not following the dive plan. Choose your alternate landing area and be prepare for the off dz landing. Trust me, trying to make it back fram a long spot can put you in the hospital. It's better to land out and walk back, than to try and make it back and become an incident report and get a ride in an ambulance.
  18. Good article on the basics of canopy flight. On #3 though "I have left countless jumps early" puts into play getting into other groups airspace. If you got out without checking the spot, it's not the fault of the group in front of you it's yours. The pilot may not like it, but it is your choise to leave the plane, ask for the go around. 19. 0:21:0 Too much time jumping for anything alse. You should have seen Jim's face seeing all of you coming after him. All the jumps were on Sat.
  20. Buy Canon. I got my wife the A85. Uses AA batteries. Look at www.newegg.com and www.ecost.com
  21. Mac is the way to go. Don't have to worry about all those PC viruses, and for pics and video they rock.
