When I was a new jumper I went and got a custom made Bev competition suit. Nylon front, spandex arms and back.At first it was fine for doing smaller stuff. As my experience grew and I started doing bigger ways I would blow right by formations that I couldn't slow down for. If I had to do it all over I would get a jump suit made of polycotton with regular sleeves ( not spandex). Cadura is ok for knees and seat but not absolutely necessary. Never needed inside leg grips but booties sure help out. Replying to: Re: Stall On Jump Run Emergency Procedure? by billvon If the plane is unrecoverable then exiting is a very very good idea.

Just curious as to why you would avoid the Optiimum? If the container is in good shape I would sell both the Sabre and PDR and get a Pulse 190 and the biggest Optimum that would fit the container. Question regarding airplane emergency
DBCOOPER replied to NoShitThereIWas's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
How would you know the on fire engine was shut down? When was your belly last calibrated? Why would the door be open at 120 ft? How would you communicate with the pilot if you were next to the door? If you lived and anybody else on the plane lived they would kill you. I have a small lipstick camera mounted inside the plane near the top of the door that feeds a camera that I control with a remote switch. Here's a sample. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBqEYqxiNvs&feature=c4-overview&list=UUghBEvRKloe8Lo801J3xECw Replying to: Re: Stall On Jump Run Emergency Procedure? by billvon If the plane is unrecoverable then exiting is a very very good idea.

I bought a 150 used once. I jumped it once. It was the wildest opening I ever had. Sent it to PD for an evaluation. They test jumped it and they wouldn't send it back to me. Gave me a credit for what I paid for it towards any new canopy. Great customer service. There must have been something inhearantly wrong with the design or they probably would still be selling them.
