  1. The great thing about the EC is that it is possible that just over half the county can be pissed off. True..... But I was thinking that not every voter will be pissed off if his/her candidate loses. I ended up voting for Johnson, who definitely won't win. I prefer Obama over Romney, and my state (CA) will likely go to Obama despite my vote. But I won't be pissed off if Romney wins, though I feel like I'm in the minority there. There seems to be so much vitriol toward each of the candidates from each opposing side.
  2. I don't know what the count will be, or if we'll even know by Wednesday morning. But I predict that almost half of the country will be really pissed off when we do find out who wins the election.
  3. It takes a pinko to hang with you? I never pegged you as a communist??
  4. Assisted suicide, capital punishment, abortion? Yep. (I think the question of whether abortion counts as killing is debatable, but all should be approached with caution regardless) Yeah, I agree. When I read your post, I was just thinking that "killing" would probably mean different things to different people, especially for someone who is far left or far right. I don't think I would likely stop being friends with someone over politics, unless that someone can't talk about politics without being a complete asshole. But then it's more about not wanting to be friends with an asshole.
  5. Just for comparison: http://www.ropercenter.uconn.edu/elections/presidential/presidential_election.html 2000 Election: Whites: Bush - 55% Gore - 42% Blacks: Bush - 9% Gore - 90% 2004 Election: Whites: Bush - 58% Kerry - 41% Blacks: Bush - 11% Kerry - 88%
  6. He's just displaying left wing clear thinking. You can patronize her, or you can answer her question. Already replied. Go buy your own birth contraol. If you and your partner combined, cannot come up with $.50 for a condom, let me know and I will mail a couple to you. If you can't afford $.50 for the condom, perhaps there are other goals one should be focused on. I'm not sure which question he was referring to, but this reply is not an answer to any question that I have asked. But you've got me wondering, do you think that the "free" birth control part of the ACA was decided by (or even thought up by) a bunch of women who couldn't afford birth control?
  7. You're quoting twatterpilot but replying to me. Sheesh, can't you people post the way that I think you should?
  8. Is there some reason why this was a reply to me? I've certainly never asked for anyone to pay for my contraception. Though I am now curious which opportunities Obama took away from your wife?
  9. If you got pregnant today, how exactly would you determine that you were pregnant by tomorrow? Or do you mean that you would go get emergency contraception if you did something that could have made you pregnant?
  10. I met him in person. At a fish fry in an airplane hangar near Pecos, TX, sometime in the early 80's.
  11. There are plenty of pro-life women who would agree with everything written there.
  12. Part of the 3D experience at the movies is that it's so big. I haven't seen anything on a 3D TV, but unless the screen is big enough to fill the whole room, I can't imagine I'd find it very enjoyable to watch. I don't see it as being much more than a fad, unless maybe the gaming stuff is enough to make it stick around. But my opinion on this subject doesn't mean much....
  13. Absolutely. I think if politicians would just throw all of their baggage out in the open up front, a lot of it wouldn't be a big deal. I mean, Obama openly admitted to doing things that have been considered scandalous for other politicians in the past. It seems that Clinton's "I didn't inhale" was given much more attention than Obama's little school gang of stoners.
  14. Oh no! Will it be another video of him pretending to fire the President? http://www.mediaite.com/tv/donald-trumps-canceled-rnc-surprise-video-revealed-on-the-today-show/

    VP debates

I don't know who Kelly is, but Barry White is for old people. I was listening to Cee Lo Green.
  16. October 11, Kentucky. I am looking forward to this too, but probably not for the right reason. Perv. Joe was the sexiest, in a psychotic sort of way. (Were they blowing laughing gas on him through the air vents???) Paul's "Eddie Munster" hair wasn't doing it for me. Maybe he should have done the debate with his shirt off. Yes, I am a one-issue voter. That issue being who has the hottest VP.
  17. That's been bugging me too. Edit: I don't think it's just the Facebook thing. It happens to me on any forum page, whether the fb thing is there or not - seems to be caused by the top ad loading???
  18. Sorry to interrupt the program, but this quote drives me insane.
  19. Thanks for the link. It's a refreshingly unbiased, human look at the two candidates. Though I have no idea how you got this out of watching that show.
  20. Hmm... Would this be Romney or Obama?
  21. Hey, he did better than the woman who moderated the O'Reilly/Stewart debate.
  22. ---------------------------------- Theres a URL at the bottom of the original post linked to the article. Yeah, I saw that, but not until I had read about half-way through the post thinking that you had written it. Oh well, at least you're somewhat better than Joe Biden at citing your sources. And to comment on the OP, I think it's already been said: If one debate is going to have so much impact on a person's vote, then it makes sense to watch the rest of the debates before making a decision.
