  1. Isn't that just a regular M&M?? No! It's not the same. There is no challenge in finding a peanut-less M&M in a bag of plain M&M's! And the ratio of chocolate to candy-coating makes them taste different than plain M&M's. Sheesh!
  2. People do a lot of things to rid alcoholic beverages of "impurities." And yet ethanol is still a poison. Just saying...
  3. There aren't many who I read more than one book from (fickle mind and all), but Chuck Palahniuk is the first to come to mind. His book "Choke" is one of my faves of all time, but also "Rant" and "Lullaby." He's most famous for "Fight Club," but I haven't read that yet. Just finished my first book by John Fante and immediately ordered another of his, so I'll add him to the list. Elmer Kelton's another who I've enjoyed several books from, and I've only read one Zane Grey, but would definitely read more of his. Was reading a lot of Anne Rice, but got burned out, so I've had three unfinished books of hers sitting on my shelves for years.
  4. I buy peanut M&M's and then I search for the ones that don't have peanuts in them. Usually they are the perfectly round ones, and I get excited when I find one - bite it in half first to make sure there is no peanut, and then I enjoy the chocolaty goodness.
  5. Addiction pisses me off, not the people who are afflicted by it. I'm guessing most "junkies" would prefer to have healthier lives. This one is a particularly sad case. So many years clean, and that beast is always there waiting.

    Creeper sex?

I didn't really envision anything but you guys have some interesting ideas. It was just a funny topic that came up, and I didn't think for a moment that it hadn't been done before. I would imagine that there are not many areas of a dropzone that have not been violated.

    Creeper sex?

For some reason this came up in conversation, and I thought, "Skydivers? Yes, I'm sure this has been done before." So, come on, fess up.
  8. The 90's, for example. Totally gay. Totally... And it just occurred to me that Rich would be laughing at the idea that I ever read a cook book.
  9. I have a 1950's-era cook book, and it has several things that are "gay." That always cracks me up when I'm reading it.
  10. I think we are going to keep the truck, and we can carry the kayaks in it. But I'm wanting a smaller, more fuel-efficient car for myself, and I'd like to be able to carry my kayak and bike on it. Plus, my husband often uses the truck on the weekends, which leaves me with no way to take my kayak anywhere. Our other car is an old MR2 with a sunroof, and I don't think a roof rack would work on that, and I'm wanting something newer and more reliable anyway.
  11. It would be nice to find something around $20K or less, but I might have to go a little bit higher. I do like the Outbacks, but I probably want something less expensive. I don't think leasing will work for me because I'll probably put too many miles on it. Thanks for the suggestions so far. I'll look into all of those.
  12. I'm thinking of buying a new car, and just starting to look around, and sometimes I get some good advice from dz.com, so . . . I want something that is reasonably priced, fuel-efficient, and reliable. Plus I want to be able to put a roof rack on it that would carry a kayak (or two) and a bike rack on it that would carry one or two bikes. The kayak's more important than the bike if I can't have both. I've always carried the kayaks and bikes in a truck, so I have no experience with racks, but I want to downsize from the truck. Any suggestions?
  13. Doing alright... Would be even better if I had a hug from Keith.
  14. Still breaking women's hearts. Hi, Keith! Good to see you and hear you're doing well.
  15. Hey, the heart wants what the heart wants. Or is it the loins? Sometimes I get the two confused.
  16. I know it's his fault, but can we just stop mentioning Biden and Shotgun in the same thread??? I've been drooling over the dude for the last four or five years now - yes it's some sort of mental derangement that I can't explain - but this is just unnecessary torture.
  17. Are you sure he's even wearing them with shorts? I'm not seeing any shorts in that picture.
  18. If black is a Valentine color, then yes.
  19. In this instance, religion doesn't sound like an opiate. This sounds like a case of hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia. Similar to the triskaidekaphobia that makes many tall-building owners leave out the 13th floor.
  20. I just got a notice from Netflix that the series premiere is up and free for anyone to watch: http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/70178217?mqso=80033827&opsid=fb_hocfacebookfreeepisode_pp
  21. Aside from the fact that discussions about gay marriage often bring up politics and religion... The description for Speakers Corner says, "The place for sociological and political discussions." And marriage definitely falls under the "sociological" category.
  22. Interesting poll choices. I'll go with "other." As for being prepared to die, I'm pretty sure you're gonna die no matter what you do. Hmm, that reminds me of a William Shatner song: You're Gonna Die
  23. A birth certificate doesn't actually prove who was the father of a baby; it only indicates who the mother claimed was the father. I think if Mr. Trump wants to claim the $5 million, a paternity test may be in order.
