Another terrorist bombing, but.....

Recommended Posts

At this point I don't know if it should be called a terrorist attack or not. According to some news reports it was a incendiary device that did not do much damage.
The FBI has taken over the lead investigation. They should get to the bottom of it.
But we have seen some instances of members of a church or mosque deface or burn it to try and gain sympathy.
At this point it's anyone's call.

*** Maybe it was just an accident.

Could be. Whose window do you think they meant to throw it through?

Truthfully, my first thought was classroom error.

Bartsdaddy makes a good point as well.

Good point. Any member of the Muslim community in America is a potential fifth column terrorist. All 3.3 million of them. Its time to have the FBI put them all under surveillance.

Some Americans are innocent until proven guilty. Others, based on the judgment of the individual, I suppose, are guilty until proven innocent. Note that works for everyone, not just those who don't like Muslims.

Being that we are at war with radical Islamists, you just have to keep an eye on anyone from that religion. Look at what we did to Japanese-Americans in WWII. Interned them in Japanese-American camps so we could be sure none of them would collaborate with Japan. It was pretty bad then. Fortunately we have the intelligence infrastructure in place where we can keep an eye on any suspicious activities and stop them before they carry out any plans. Not going to stop them all though. Literally impossible.

Black on black crime is really bad too, it has to be controlled. Look at what you did with blacks before the civil war.

The Trump Effect continues. From Newsweek:
========================
Islamic groups have warned of an uptick in anti-Muslim hate crimes in the United States in recent months. In a July report, CAIR said that more than 940 potential bias incidents against Muslims were reported between April and June, a 91 percent increase compared to the same period in 2016.

Mosques and places of worship have been particularly targeted. In July, an individual left a large painting of Jesus outside a mosque in Long Island in an apparent attempt to provoke worshippers; in June, a burned copy of the Quran that was stuffed with bacon was left chained to a fence near a Sacramento mosque.

CAIR said that its Facebook page had been inundated with anti-Muslim messages since the mosque bombing and its offer of a $10,000 reward. The group shared pictures of messages sent by people celebrating the incident. One read: “Blow up all mosques. Muslim fairy tales have no place inside the United States.” Another said: “If they find this person they should give him a medal.”

Around 3.3 million Muslims live in the United States, or around 1 percent of the population, according to a May report by the Pew Research Center.

Minnesota is home to the largest concentration of Somalis in the United States, and the Dar Al-Farooq Islamic Center serves people mainly from the Somali community. During a November 2016 campaign speech, then presidential candidate Donald Trump said that a “disaster” was taking place in Minnesota due to “faulty refugee-vetting” and large numbers of Somali refugees coming to the state “without your knowledge, your support or approval.”

Makes sense, most mosques are probably just fronts for bomb-making classes :S. It amazes me that people (most of whom have probably never so much as met a Muslim) think ridiculous shit like this. If there was the slightest truth to the idea that all 1.8 BILLION of them were set on death to the West, we might as well just give up right now.

Don't hate on a group just because their imaginary man in the sky is different from your imaginary man in the sky>:(

Bombing a mosque or any building is a terrorist act. Including these below along with trolling comments under the guise of "hate crimes" OTOH... :S

The first one they'd be far more upset if a painting of their guy was left out there and the second one is kinda creative. :D:D:D:D

All in all, the religious groups need to all lighten up. :)

In this case of terrorism, my money is on a white US christian who hates islam.
Because apparently one religion of hate and intolerance is better than another religion of hate and intolerance.

It could also be by the hands of conservative nationalists or other white supremacy groups, many of which include atheists. It's just that they have a familiarity with christianity and never felt threatened by it, so they just focus on other groups.

It still probably didn't have as much an impact as the provocative works of secular liberal atheists at Charlie Hebdo. Who's to say that this wasn't the work of like-minded individuals?
