Celebrate the Republican Senate or cry?

******It will be the same old BS in DC. Except done a little crazier. Check out the thoughts of some of the newly elected "leaders".:P

As I look at the actual winners and read their statements I am optimistic that the GOP has indeed started to shed its loony right wing.

Of course, all politicians lie so they may just be saying centrist stuff in order to get elected.

Actually, for the most part they are saying the same thing they have been saying for decades

So it appears that you haven't read what they've been saying.

I'm celebrating !!!! Voted republican!!!

Voting a straight party ticket is for the uninformed.

Im glad you assume he is uninformed. Guess there is no chance that he did his research and voted for the people he thought would actually do the work he wants so see, and it just happened to be republican.:S

Your position appears to be that those who do not agree with you regarding the GOP are either misinformed or have swallowed the lies of the main stream media?

Just like the Dems still say the R's want to kick grandma out of her house, take away SS, enslave blacks, take away minority voting rights, starve kids and the poor

The electorate is now starting to roll thier eyes when this desperate bs spews forth

Just like the spew you just posted

How did the minimum wage due on ballots across all those red states on Tuesday? If it wasn't for the irrational fear of getting their guns confiscated and abortion on demand for 12 year olds, most conservatives would have been voting for their own economic interest long ago.

But you can't fool people forever, even southerners.

It's interesting how all those southern boys despise socialism, yet, they wouldn't know if they saw it.

It's easy for the winners to be magnanimous. The proof will be seen by early February, I suspect.

With the party in Iowa about to start up, I can see at least some of them being willing to address a few matters. Though we all remember how both parties punted most of the hard issues in 2012 till just after the election.

I always enjoy the reactions I get when I turn the left bs back on them:D

There are so many threads in which I ask you to clearly state your position. This again is one of them.

Somehow you just never do. Or you make it so vague that a follow up question is warranted (sometimes because your sentences don't always make sense), which you then tend to dance around.

So, what is your position?

Do politicians lie to get elected or have they been saying the same thing for decades (with the suggestion they could not have been lieing this election)?

Bad for the country as a whole that the billionaires have bought the Congress.

Billionaires, miliionaires on BOTH sides donated or what you call "buying" the Congress. Some backed winning candidates and others backed losing candidates.

And I'm making this stuff up? C'mon professor, those aren't my words up above.

>Celebrate the Republican Senate or cry?

Neither. Now, an all-Republican Senate, House and executive would be a cry-worthy event (as would an all-Democratic Senate/House/executive.)

California's democratic executive branch and super-majorities in both the assembly and senate was ridiculous. It really ends up concentrating way too much power in the Governor's office because virtually everything his party dreams up ends up on his desk.

Thankfully the super-majorities are both gone now.

You weren't already crying??
The fact is, Republicans let a few rich people dictate policy. Think of Enron/Phil Gramm, the Koch brothers, ... . Democrats mean well but they're just incompetent. The Affordable Care Act is a case in point. Or more recently, sending a brigade of air assault infantry to Africa to build hospitals for ebola patients.
To illustrate both points, who believes that Lehman Brothers went bankrupt because of too much government regulation, or that Dodd/Frank will really fix the problem?

When will a party leadership (either) be wise enough to get us off this track????

My experience is that when management goes bad - be it of a company or a country - things continue downhill until the wheels fall off.
Hope your team won. Carry on.
You don't have to outrun the bear.

Well, since he contradicted my statement his position must be that the loony fringe of the GOP is still in charge.

One of the better decisions we've made. Stopping it at the source is a much better idea than travel restrictions, quarantines, and all the other trappings of panic we had here over the past month or so.
