It's left wingers like you who believe only law enforcement should be armed.

You clearly don't understand anything you read.
a. Not left wing. In the countries where I can vote, probably actually described as the opposite.
b. Not what i believe at all.

However, please continue your ignorance. it gives me a good laugh.

Otherwise, I'm packing.
With the hopes of nailing one of them before he clips me.

Am I ever happy I can live in a great city where I don't have to live in constant fear of loonies with guns.

Makes you wonder what freedom truly is.

Me too. Now earthquakes on the other hand are proving to be somewhat of a nuisance. :D

Why are you limiting it to 2 years. Oh, never mind. Just more obfuscation on your part.

OK, 5 years, 10 years...

Which western nation has had more mass shootings in that time?

Easy - because people like YOU oppose making background checks truly effective.

MAJOR BULLSHIT!! I have never been opposed to keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill.

LIP SERVICE ONLY.

You oppose tightening the background checks.

I don't believe anything CNN says.
Their record on truth and honesty is laughable at best.

So, you believe CNN is "faking" the dates and histories of these shootings?

Gee if only there was some sort of magic box you could use to check.

I still feel that if guns are taken away from law abiding citizens...

Apparently Mr. Alexis had never been convicted of anything, so he WAS a law abiding citizen, right up until the instant of his death. Ask Turtlespeed.

However, he WAS Texan.

I support keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. This guy had been known to have mental problems. I hope we can use this as an opportunity to find out how he slipped through the cracks and what needs to be done to correct that failure, not as an opportunity to assign blame as you seem bent on doing.

Law abiding, except for the whole shooting out the tires of cars in 2004 :S

He wasn't tried and or convicted of a crime. I believe, from what I've been told, a person is innocent till proven guilty. Seems as though, over the years, that has taken a 180.

He was seeing a shrink.
He could have stolen the gun which makes any conversation about gun ownership moot.

AGAIN; the problem is access control. There was no access control and the perp entered the building with a shit pile of guns. The only way to stop lone wolf attackers is via access control. No one, not even the commander of the base gets in without a solid bag check.

Also, at the military gun range, huge steps need to be taken to ensure a person on the firing line doesn't turn and start mowing down other people. You've seen decorated vets get murdered by people they were trying to help while at the range. I"m getting more observant of others while on the firing line or in the woods hunting. Nutjobs can pop up anywhere.

I didn't say he was convicted or a criminal. There are plenty of ways you can not abide by the law and still not not be tried or sentenced. But I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that in Seattle, its not abiding by the law if you shoot out car tires in a parking lot.
