1. corporate aircraft make their business more efficient and profitable and
2. the federal government needs to give tax breaks for corporate aircraft because the business wouldn't be able to afford one without the tax breaks.

We all have SS and Medicare taxes taken out of every paycheck. It is actually less socialistic to recoup some of that money by accepting the "benefits" when the time comes than it would be to not take them and, presumably, leave more money for others in the system. You have it backwards, it seems.

Just the other week I was kicking back in a corporate aircraft taking a nap. Woke up and looked around and said to myself, "Self, this is a fine piece of work...must of taken a great deal of people to put you together, install all these nice comfy seats, and I love the avionic dual Honeywell Primus 1000 Flight Director and Autopilot system"

Lots of jobs are created when a corporation takes an order to purchase a corp. aircraft. And think of all the Jet A required to keep it motoring along. From the insurance company, FBO, Line men, parts dealers, catering.... money is just a flying everywhere.

The deficit is an easy thing to fix, but no one, especially Congress appears to want to fix it. Everyone should pay some taxes. decide the programs you want and then arrange the tax system to pay for it. pretty frickin' simple.

I expect household income is not what it used to be, combined with unemployment and those getting employed probably finding lower wage jobs, therefore adjusting the amount of taxes being paid and by whom.

The part that got me was that they wouldn't be able to afford the aircraft without tax breaks like accelerated depreciation. You're right; manufacture and use of corporate aircraft does spread around a lot of money. I'm sure candidate Romney would agree with you that the government should keep that going, even if means some would-be taxpayers zero out their tax bill in the process.
