LyraM45 0 #176 April 17, 2013 Quote Quote What are those signatures? I don't even know, but if this bomb had "left wing extremist" signatures, I hope the media would report that the same. AP 15 April 2013 - Observers noted that the backback of poorly constructed hemp was laid gently near the 'recycling friendly' receptacle. Observers noted that the suspect carefully checked for spotted owl eggs before riding a Segway down the block - stopping 12 times to pick wallets from various spectators and then taking the money and giving it to next person down the street. Police are combing the area for a person of questionable gender with pony tails, Birkenstocks, excessive body odor and a self satisfied and superior smirk. WARNING, do not confront this individual, call a sensitivity counselor and stay back, the suspect may be wearing crystals. bbwwaaahahahaha.... this just made my day!! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)

rhaig 0 #178 April 17, 2013 Quote Did I or the article I linked to say it wasn't Al Q? They particularly mention that it could be, that this bomb has signatures of both fringe terrorist group AND Al Q. So no, I'm not kidding. And FYI, I could care less if they said the signature was left wing fringe. It is what it is, signature is a signature, and that's that. I'm not going to throw a news network under the bus for reporting on a certain groups bomb signature. so what you're saying is that the article didn't draw the conclusion that it was right wing extremists, it pointed out it was a possibility, and YOU drew the conclusion that it was a right wing extremist?-- Rob

toolbox 0 #180 April 17, 2013 Hey Jerry. I think the problem is the same problem that mankind has had throughout history. Mankind has a problem with intolerance and violence. I feel most people try to be tolerant, and most resist the violent side of who we are(animals with animal urges, and big brains)but there have always been those who embrace the darker side of human nature, and I do not see this changing anytime soon. In fact I expect things to get worse as the population continues to grow and resources diminish. Just like any other animals, humans get less tolerant and more violent when they are hungry and living without comfort or security. There is no way we can stop crazy, angry, intolerant people from attacking others, even by taking away individual freedoms that would only hurt law abiding citizens. These people will get explosives, get guns, get poisons, start fires,ect...no matter what laws you implement. Anyway, how have you been? Have not seen you around yet this year. JerryBaumchen 1,083 #182 April 17, 2013 Hi Tool, I agree with almost all of your post. For about 35 yrs now I have been opposed to additional controls on guns. I just wanted to see the existing laws enforced. However, with 20 6-yr olds dead I do think that we need to do something more. And then we need to enforce the laws. I feel the same way about illegal immigration. The 1986 law was supposed to 'solve all of our immigration problems.' The problem is/was that Congress simply will not fund the programs to enforce the law. I'm good, I think. JerryBaumchen

rehmwa 2 #187 April 18, 2013 QuoteIt is just one of those crazy nut jobs, probably a lone wolf, from the fringes. Left wing has them too-- like weather underground, anti-capitolists, etc. This event happens to have signatures of right wing extremist groups-- should we deny that? Should it not be reported? And the circle is now closed: Apparently a left wing fanatic was so pissed off at the Senate that he blew up a fertilizer plant in Texas. (lefties like organic foods). It's just as ridiculous when the other guys do it. ...
