nigel99 144 #226 August 10, 2011 Quote Quote Apparently Blackberry messenger was used extensively to co-ordinate the riots. It does make you wonder if there is a slightly more organised theme to this, not that I have any idea on who it would be? Gordon Brown's revenge maybe Well if that's the case then maybe some Legal Phone hacking could be put to GOOD use!! http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/aug/08/london-riots-blackberry-messenger-looting The article that I read was in the Independent, but the gist is still in this. Quote BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) appears to be the favoured method of planning the unrest that has swept across north London since Saturday evening. Unlike text messaging or Twitter, BBM is a free, private social network where almost all messages are encrypted when they leave the sender's phone – meaning that many messages are untraceable by the authorities It is hard not to see the pure criminal element when they bother to use tools to try and evade the police.Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived. shropshire 0 #227 August 10, 2011 Interesting, I didn't know that about BBMs - but it must be decrypted somewhere and the fact that a messages was sent from a given number and location should be recorded ... Um let's ask a Guardian reporter or a 14 year old boy ... if you can find one that's not out thieving. (.)Y(.) Skyrad 0 #233 August 11, 2011 QuoteWow mate... your back yard is starting to look like the riots in Egypt. :-( http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=af9_1312935998 Worse I think (a fact that I'm far from proud about). However last night was pretty calm and as the British do in an emergency the best has come out as well. People have reclaimed the streets with brooms and cups of tea. Thousands getting out there to help those who have been effected. Also people are now telling the Police en-mass who the thugs are and where they live. Police have now made almost a thousand arrests. Its also brought the Sikh and Muslim communities together as they took to the streets to protect their neighbours. Unfortunately three Muslim men were also killed by rioters in a car as they protected their neighbourhood. Their father of one of them has clearly shown the true nature of Islam by making this statement. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZ1VjUSKevc&feature=player_embedded http://audioboo.fm/boos/435734-the-world-at-one-bob-walker-interviews-tariq-jahan-the-father-of-21-year-old-haroon-jahan-one-of-the-men-who-died-in-birminghamWhen an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. What ever, the mess still needs to be cleared up and the community pulling together to do so builds a strong social bond. The scum are being dealt with and so is the disorder that they created. DD the bankers did not "do this". The rioters are responsible for their own actions. Don't get me wrong, the bankers should not have got away with what they do/did. It is immoral and they should have been punished. Can you post any suggestions on how things can realistically be fixed?Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived. dreamdancer 0 #239 August 11, 2011 QuoteIn the mid-to-late 80s, David Cameron and his now chancellor George Osborne – were members of the notorious Bullingdon Club, the Oxford university "dining" clique that smashed their way through restaurant crockery, car windscreens and antique violins all over the city of knowledge. Not unlike a certain section of today's youth, the "Bullers" have little regard for property. Prospective members often have their rooms trashed by their new-found friends, while the club has a reputation for ritualistic plate-smashing at unsuspecting country pubs. It has been banned from several establishments, while contemporary Bullers are said to chant, at all hours: "Buller, Buller, Buller! Buller, Buller, Buller! We are the famous Bullingdon Club, and we don't give a fuck!" "This behaviour was criminal behaviour," said Johnson of the recent riots – but in the past his attitude to vandalism has been more nuanced. In his and Cameron's day, the Bullingdon was most notorious for heaving a weighty flowerpot through the window of a distinguished Oxford eaterie. Cameron, it is said, had already left the scene, but Johnson was so proud that for a time he claimed he was arrested for his part in these exploits. In fact, he simply hid in the shrubbery at the city's botanical gardens. Lucky there were no 24-hour magistrates' courts in those days. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2011/aug/10/uk-riots-boris-johnsonstay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding

More of the same. Cry about it on the interweb with endless nonsense posts about bankers that reak of petty jealousy and socialist bullshit. Go do something of value, go create a business, go hire some people. Go get your own bonus, you can earn it with as much virtue as you see fit.
