The violation of it is part of what made rec.skydiving become unusable. I really dislike the idea of censorship in general, but the free speech of the US constitution didn't include the idea of this technological amplification of each person's voice to the point where a few people could make it almost impossible for everybody else to talk to each other. I still don't know what I think about that, but meanwhile I find dropzone.com to be much more usable. Categories of threads instead of one big conversation is a good idea too.
