What's the most adventurous or outragous thing you've ever done?

Falling in love. Greatest reward coupled by the prospect of the greates pain one can feel. Love boldly and without hesitation; great rewards or sorrows are soon to follow.

This may seem stupid to most but its the only thing that has consistently been an extreme (ups and downs) adventure.

Thank you, Paige, for saying it first. Adventure? Quit my job and in dowtown LA to move to Fresno to be with the woman I love. Certainly risky giving up everything.

And the most rewarding thing I've ever done. Sorry, nothing compares with the adventure of love. I think there are more people who wouldn't love for fear of what can happen as who won't skydive.

Isn't it a pity?

Most adventurous thing Ive ever done was last spring...decided i wanted to go to california....so after i took my last final at school, at threw out my notebook, took the last few things i had left in my room, through them in a bag along with some other esential things and my best friend and i hopped on a greyhound bus in NYC and headed out west. 2 days later we got off the bus in Utah and road to Vegas with a dz.commer I had never even met.... then stayed in Vegas with my cousin for a week where we had alll sorts of adventures-and i made my first and second jump...then headed to Perris-hit the memorial day boogie then lived in a tent on the dz for a week (with another dz.commer) so we could see some of the california sites...then hopped back in the bus back to NY

Our trip lasted just under a month....we saw 16 states, made tons of friends and had the time of our lives

Craziest thing we planned it so spontaneously...we planned it and put everything together about 3 days before we actually left....

*daizey*

Wasup .... Well i guess i can start out by filling you in about me and skydiving. Have you ever took time to notice how kids are at the candy store.....thats how one of my friends describe me! I just started skydiving at the beginig of the year 2002 at the Canadian Skydive Center in Didsbury Ab. I free falled in 5 jumps, was at the roof in 10 jumps, and got my solo cert. in 16 jumps. I ended that season with 19 jumps and a trailer on the dz..I cut away from most of my old friends, a 5 bedroom house i ran and my day job for the summer!Yup i know......:S But let me tell you that was the best year of my life so far!;)Life is an adventure, live it to the fullest!;)

like i tell everyone, "don't piss the pilot off"

What I did wasn't so bad....I left the airplane at a decent airport and told 'em where it was...even though it was 1500 miles from home.. There was another guy that did something...well...not so nice...

He was working for a cargo company flying a Learjet. He had been abused all week....long days, short nights, lousy hotels, and total lack of sleep. Finally one day, he told 'em he was stopping where he was...he wasn't flying any more that day.. His boss basically told him to fly one more leg or he was fired. That leg was about 90 minutes. So....he loaded up the airplane with 2 hours worth of fuel, and took off...there are still conflicting stories about whether he actually took the First Officer with him or not(the airplane legally requires 2 pilots)...flew the airplane 90 minutes(not to where he was supposed to go, though), and landed at this little, tiny airport that he was barely able to stop the airplane on the short runway. They didn't have jet fuel there, and the airplane had 30 minutes fuel remaining(minimum legal reserve). He researched all this beforehand, obviously.. He then parked the airplane on the ramp(where everybody was absolutely amazed to see a jet in such a small airport), and ran the engines until there was NO fuel left in the airplane. He left the battery switch on, which drains the battery in 20-30 minutes max. He then closed the door, locked it, and hid the key somewhere on the airplane.

Then he called his boss. He told him the airplane was 90 minutes from where he took off, but wouldn't say which airport - or even which direction. He then followed it with "I quit". :D

Makes what I did look tame.. B|

Mike

edit: Supposedly, it took the company several months to find the aircraft...and then they only found it because the airport manager looked up the registration number and called the owner to ask them to move the airplane because it was sitting on a ramp they needed to re-pave.

The most outrageous thing I ever did was sit in the bed of a buddy's pick-up while driving down US27 in South Florida, while another buddy was driving his truck in the lane next to us. I decided I wanted to go where the other buddy was going and he was getting off on the next exit. I jumped from the bed of one pick-up to the bed of the other, slipped upon landing in the other, rolled over the tailgate, and smacked my head on his rear bumper. Managed not to fall out completely and was able to get back in the bed. Lumped my head and got to see another friend's grill up close and personal. All the while we were speeding along at almost 70.

Man I miss stupid red-neck stunts.:S The look on the friends' faces in the car behind me was worth it though. (I think):S

You want to hear extreme? It's not quitting your job when you have nothing else.... :D

Add moving halfway across the country...with no job lined up...done that twice now...

That's what I'm about to do and the unknown is so scarey! How did you get by until you found something?

Actually found a retail job pretty quickly so I'd have some money, but it also gave me some flexibilty to look for a job during the day. What part of FL are you looking at? I've got friends all over this state and not all of them jumpers...

I'm just curious what the extreme of the extremists have done. I'm seriously considering selling everything I have so I can afford to skydive all summer and take my time finding a job in Florida.

DONT TEMPT ME! Ive been thinkin, I could sell everything, except my dog, cuz shes the coolest. and head south for the summer, just mooch off some dz.commers till they tired of me and move on (but now ive let my secret out :o) maybe we who wanna jump all summer should band together and have like a skydiver community of non working loosers?! :D:D:P

I quit my job of 10 years last March cuz I was tired of their shit, nothing lined up, nada. and now im broke as hell and in a no paying job (but I am back in school), jonesing for more jumpin...

That would be selling almost everything I owned in '99, buying a motorhome and traveling the country doing whatever I pleased. It was the most memorable year of my life. Playing it safe and secure is for the weak at heart. New opportunities will open up. Go for it.

I have family in Freson. My aunt actually came to spend Easter with us! When I go out to visit them, we'll have to get a jump or beer in!

Paige:

I would be honored to have a beverage with you! Hopefully I'll be able to jump again by then. :)

hmmmmmmmmmm Hard to choose which would be the most outrageous. Probably having sex on a White Steinway Grand Piano in the Convention Area at Ceasars Palace while I was working;) Either that or the Glass Elevator at the Tropicana (not sure if they still have that been 10 years since I left Vegas)

Something more PG rated when i was eight I made a plane out of 2x4's and plywood and tried to fly it off the top of the house....Mom didn't find it funny but the nurses in the ER thought it was...

My extreme thing was going to college for about 6 weeks in VA before I dropped out and got a job packing in California, drove across the country all by my little 18 year old self and spent two years partying, traveling, packing and jumping a bunch. I'm just now starting school back up because I want to be a kindergarten teacher so that I can have my summers off.:P

Lol...the most outragous thing I've ever done?? Hehehe...we have a small police dept here and only one cop on duty at a time - after 3 a.m. we have no one on duty till 6 a.m. I wrapped aluminum foil around my body, legs, arms and head...made two antenna's for my head and waited for a car to come along. I ran across the 4 lane hwy in front the car, waving my arms and screaming (this is after the cop was off duty), then headed through the woods and alleys to my home and listened to my police scanner while someone called the chief at home and he rolled out the entire police force to find the "Alien"....hehehe...
