Weekend numbers....4/14-16?

Recommended Posts

...:1:...

After being chastised all afternoon friday by the orthopedist that I'm working with about the dangers of tibial fractures while motorcycling, he let me leave early....

So I rode an additional 30 miles to the dz where Rick was....get this.... giving away free jumps. They were up on the first load when I got there at 6:30. I made the sunset load and got a jump in with my favorite men. So cool.

Pretty Good weather at Orange. As long as you are not a student. Had a couple good R/W jumps and a fun fun fun tracking dive.

PS. When you ride with the Otter door open,..it's summer.

Hahahaha, glad you thought so. I'll try to bring the speed down next time.

B| : 9 ( I think) : probably some.

Was a damned good weekend.

I just realized tonight that I have busted out 85 jumps since X-mas day. For my broke ass, I'm having a hell of a start to the season.B|B|B|

1 rail meat experience:2:0

I did a couple of freefly jumps up in Deland, my first jumps since going to Dublin. I met Krisanne, but Scott Miller kept her too busy to play with me. :( At one point, I was looking for her and he said, "are you harrassing my student again?"

I left the dz early to go to Carl Dougherty's birthday party. He has a cool house on a lake where we can still see the skydivers being dropped at the dz. I took a spin in Tim Webb's sailboat with him and Cliff from Tecumseh. It was so much fun because it had been about 25 years since I had been sailing. When we set off, he told me to pull on the jib rope. My reply was, "what the hell is that?", so Cliff was his helper and I became rail meat for the rest of the trip. :P

Made 1 fun jump at Orange. Watched my best friend have a super super super super close call wtih a momentary main/reserve entanglement. Thought his luck was pretty good after that and so we drove to Atlantic City and pulled an all nighter at the casino. Made a jump at Xkeys before heading home. Pretty damn fun weekend.

Note to self... New Jersey stops selling beer Sunday evenings. :|

Hey, cool! Cliff is a fun guy! Hi Cliff!

Yes he is and so knowledgeable about so many things. Matt is down here too (and nursing a dislocated shoulder). Those two together are pretty funny. And, they let me know that my relatives in Albion don't live too far from the dz. Hmmm...I could get bonus points with Grandma AND go up and have a fun time at a new dz! B|

Had a good weekend. Some crappy weather one day, but I still got 2 full altitude jumps in!!! Woohoo! Finally!!!!!!!!!

Had an awesome Easter Egg Hunt at the dropzone. In addition to all the real prizes there were some joke prizes. The funniest joke prizes were the free hugs. I was the only one who was in on the joke. It was hilarious watching someone walk up to another unsuspecting jumper and try to redeem their hug.:)

Hey Lisa:)

Man, I could have written that post. Went out on a four-way (first one) on Sat. and lost everyone. They were WAAAYYY below me by the time I found them. Pretty funny....and my first landing of the day wasn't purty at all:S

I made my first jump at Skydive Temple about a week ago. Very awesome place.

hmm...sounds like a start of a plan to me! Just know that you have a place to stay at the dz and a ride anywhere if you need it! Tell Cliff and Matt I say hello!!

That about sums it up. I was thinking I might get back in the sky this week, but now it's looking like that would be a very STUPID move on my part. I don't know why I even own this damn rig anymore. :S

I guess my life goal was to have 100 skydives, and I've done that. Mebbe it's time to move on...

Watched the Sharks abuse the Mighty Ducks on Saturday. What a game! Thornton scored the first Sharks goal at 21 seconds into the first period, Cheechoo got the 6th Sharks goal and completed his 5th hat trick of the season with an unassisted shot from the Sharks blue line at 2 seconds left in the third period. Cheechoo now has the most goals for any player in the NHL, Thornton now has the most points for any player in the NHL, the Sharks are solidly in the playoffs and I think I now "get" hockey. :D

Then we stopped by a brewery on the Peninsula and had an awesome beer - MaiBock (smooth, went down easy and packed one heckuva punch) - with a friend. After that it was off to more friends house for the night. An awesome dinner, excellent intoxicants, kickass skydiving videos on a huge TV and wonderful people to spend time with made for the perfect ending to a perfect day. Big time thanks from both of us to both of you (you know who you are ;))! B|

Woke up to pouring rain on Sunday. Slowly made our way home and spent the remainder of the day enjoying a raging fire and the Sunday paper.

Today the dz is closed so of course the weather is beautiful. [:/]
