everymansaved 0 #1 September 26, 2006 Has anyone dealt with Richard Hazel and his company: buildarig.com? I'm thinking about buying a canopy from the site, but I've never heard it mentioned on here. I'd just like to hear some feedback from people who have dealt with him. You can e-mail me at [email protected] as well.God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires. AggieDave 6 #2 September 26, 2006 He's a good guy that is really into skydiving. He just started buying all kinds of gear, just about everything he can get his hands on then started selling it. I've known quite a few people that have bought gear from him and all of them have come away quite happy.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." jeremy_o 0 #5 September 26, 2006 QuoteThat must be the most cheesy website I have ever seen... Heh, exactly. He posts complete rigs on the classifieds here but I will never buy anything from the website...I can barely look at it without a seizure.. jk of course, it does need work though. (I have no expierence with the company though, so I can't comment on that.)http://planetskydive.net/ - An online aggregation of skydiver's blogs. AggieDave 6 #6 September 26, 2006 Tuna is the webmaster, so he put the website together in a manner in which he likes. There has been some gentle nudging from some of us to help him along.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." everymansaved 0 #7 September 26, 2006 Yeah, that website is something else. It's good to hear that he is on the up and up. There was nothing to make me think otherwise, but it was just kind of odd that I'd never heard of it on the forums, even when i did a search.God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires. everymansaved 0 #15 October 6, 2006 So, my canopy just got here, and it is AWESOME!!! It's better than he could have described it, it got here fast, and he was excellent to deal with. Maybe I'll even send him a Christmas card...God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
katzurki 0 #16 November 30, 2006 Cheers, Just reporting yet another positive experience from dealing with Richard Hazel @ Buildarig (a Safire 149 canopy). The guy who I was helping to buy the canopy screwed the payment up a bit and it spent a long time clearing at the bank... long story short, the canopy got here (overseas) a couple days BEFORE Richard got his money for it. He was very good and understanding about it.

Kynan1 0 #18 December 1, 2006 People need to relax on the wallpaper in the background and the country cheese music. A website should be easy to browse. It made me cringe. However, I may get something through him. Maybe I'll redo his website in exchange for a chute. After getting past the wallpaper and scrolling words on the site, they seem to have a good amount of items I'm interested in. I will probably call him tomorrow. If it goes well, I'll let everyone know about it.
freakyrat 1 #19 December 2, 2006 Richard was really nice to deal with. Last year I purchased a used Cypres2 from him for my Mirage G3 so I could replace my 8-yr old Cypres1 and help another jumper at the same time in getting a Cypres for his rig. Since I live in the Houston area it was just easy for me to go over to his house and pick it up. Chris

It reminds me of the websites I used to build on geocities, and the MIDI file Metalica songs drive my girlfriend nuts. I am of course looking for the deal of the life time, just like every one else. Richard, when can I arrange shipping for that canopy.
