Goldfish eat fish eggs and other small fish. They will clean other species out of a lake. Garfish are scaly with a lot of bones and cartilage. Other fish won't eat them. Even otters won't eat them. I could be way wrong, but thats what it reminds me of. Could have been owned by someone who just dumped their fish in the lake. Lots of people do this.
