I loved that movie as a kid; it was/is my sister's favorite, to this day. I was 7 years-old in 1988 (2 years after Top Gun came out) & have many fond memories of hanging out with my older sister and watching it. I was going to suggest a few movies too you but you prolly weren't born when they came out.... That doesn't mean I can't watch them, and/or wont like them. Wait. wait....wait a minute though..... BillyVance 34 #29 February 27, 2009 Nobody mentioned Airplane!? That one really cracked me up the first time I saw it. After seeing it 20 times or more, the stuff now seems stupid, but it sure was hilarious to begin with."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

quade 3 #32 February 28, 2009 QuoteWhat are some good comedies you've seen recently, and/or could recommend some? Anybody can give you Airplane or Blazing Saddles. I'm going to recommend some movies that are a bit older and I think WAY under rated. If you liked "Young Frankenstein" then my guess is you'll want to see another great movie written by Gene Wilder . . . The World's Greatest Lover. While we're on genre parodies I think you might also want to see Murder by Death, 1941 and This is Spinal Tap.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
AggieDave 6 #33 February 28, 2009 A Mighty Wind is another good suggestion. Its a different kind of humor, but I found it great.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

AggieDave 6 #35 February 28, 2009 Oh, another comedy kind of along similar lines is Prairie Home Companion.
