Are you Man enough?

Are you Man enough to wear a kilt?
Secure enough in your masculinity and have a thick enough skin to brush aside the inevitable comments?

Then check these out, http://www.utilikilts.com/

I actually think they would be great for my hot/humid climate, and they'd make a great statement.
Too bad they're so expensive, but, custom made clothing usually is.

So, would you wear a kilt?

Ha I like the picture of the dude modeling as a welder in a muscle shirt and a kilt. He's obviously hard as fuck!

I don't need no stinkin protection from sparks or UV light!

Damn I've got scars from welding when I was wearing a few layers of FR clothing:S

Have you seen my pants?

For St. Patty's day? I'll wear a kilt one of these years...

Not sure if I'd make it part of my normal wardrobe though.

He was playing a bag pipe also.

That's too cool. Vskydiver and I met the Seattle Firefighters' Bagpipe Band one night when they were opening for the Dropkick Murphys. After they played their set they came over and got drunk with us at the show. Valinda thought the kilts rocked. ;)

I guess I got the legs to wear one sometime. I bet the breeze would be nice on the bollocks. B|

My only visit to the Dublin boogie, I was one of the few that wore a kilt. Lets just say we got some attention.

Ladies, please warm your hands before you check if we are truly wearing the kilt the way it should be worn.

Yo Chile, wazzup?

I never got the chance to jump in it but a couple years running I worked ground crew for the guys who did the demo into the Glasgow Games in Glasgow KY. I don't think any of them ever went regimental because they had to be put on over their leg straps (obviously) and were worried about having to land in a demo after being accidentally de-kilted by the relative wind.

I am sometimes "man enough" to wear a kilt, usually Robbie Burns Day, St. Patrick's Day and maybe Halloweeen.

This past October I arrived at DZ party wearing a Black Watch kilt and many of the ladies were surprised. Even my date was mildly surprised.

... Pretty sad when you have to remind people that it is the day before Halloween!!!!
One TI's girlfriend even arrived dressed as "herself"... er dressed as witch.
Hah!
Hah!

Genuine military-surplus kilts are heavy and while I love the litl when I walk, I still have not mastered sitting while wearing a kilt.
How do you convince all the pleats to lay neatly?

If Utilikilts were not quite so expensive (retail US$25), I might wear one, either that buy a Sport Kilt (starting at US $59), or learn how to sew kilts myself (many hours).

Maybe I will take a second look at Sport Kilts or try to find a Utilikilt marked down on e-bay????

Though the DZO will probably not allow me to wear a kilt at work because Canadians can be rather conservative.
