billvon 2,464 #1 June 25, 2011 Got a weekend with nothing to do. I was planning to rent a bike to get around. Anything I should definitely see? It's been so long since I've been back here I'm sure all the must-see places have changed.

riddler 0 #3 June 25, 2011 The Museum of Science is fun. I enjoyed getting to the outskirts more. You can take the train from North Station to Salem with a half-hour ride. The House of the Seven Gables is pretty cool (secret staircase and all), and a few blocks away is the first candy store in the US. Don't go to the Witch Museum.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. PiLFy 0 #5 June 25, 2011 **Awesome seafood. **Visit the USS Constitution @the Boston Naval Yard. **Watch the Red Sox fans cry in their beer @Fenway. **Visit Nantucket & Martha's Vineyard. **Did I mention they've got awesome seafood right off the boats? **If you rent a car. The largest private collection of naval hardware in the world is in Fall River, Mass. It's about an hour south of Boston. The centerpiece of the collection is the USS Massachusetts. It's on the Washington Sq stop on the C line (green line). It's the best beer bar in Boston. I work the door on Sat so say hi.

SpeedRacer 1 #8 June 25, 2011 Bukowski's pub near the Auditorium stop (green line) has an amazing selection of craft & imported beer. If you want great barbecue AND craft beer go to Red Bones in Davis Square in Cambridge. lurch 0 #10 June 26, 2011 If our weather hadn't been crap I'd have said come on up to Skydive Pepperell. We've got RW crowds in several flavors, a small but happy wingsuit crew, and a bunch of crazy freeflyers if you're into that sort of thing. -BLive and learn... or die, and teach by example. NWFlyer 2 #14 June 27, 2011 Take the T to Davis Square. Go to Redbones. Great beer, great BBQ."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. billvon 2,464 #15 June 27, 2011 Ended up: Renting a bike and doing some rides Going to the Sam Adams brewery tour (both disappointing and interesting) Going to Cambridge Brewing and talking beer with the bartender Having dinner with Jack C and friends Going to the Museum of Fine Arts to see their Chihuly exhibit (very impressive) Doing some usual touristy things (Faneuil Hall, the Commons) Ogled at where the freeway used to be Rode the T a lot

JohnMitchell 14 #17 June 27, 2011 Samuel Adams we've actually done 3 times. It's a fun and fluffy tour, not too serious. I thought the Deschutes Brewery tour in Bend. OR where the Infinity rigs are made was better for beer-philes. Sorry you didn't tour the USS Constitution. The guided tour is well worth the extra wait, BTW. Part of the "T" system is the inner harbor ferry which runs between the aquarium station and the USS Constitution. It's a nice little boat ride to go over to the great warship. I've done Lexington, Concorde and the Freedom Trail thru downtown Boston, all great pieces of our history. There's many great pubs and restaurants, but I agree with the RedBones fans. It's our perennial favorite when we make it to Boston.
