THIS Jim Slayton? http://jimslaton.com/ http://about.me/slaton Looks to me like Jim has listed his skydiving resume ~ highlighting some rather interesting & outstanding accomplishments as a promotional & marking tool. It's called advertising...yes is self-promoting and no there's nothing about it that makes him an 'ahole'. It ain't braggin' if ya really done it! kallend 1,644 #14 October 24, 2012 I have not met and don't know Jim Slaton but it looks to me like he's a professional skydiver and this is just advertising his services. Any small business would do the same. A lot of skydiving videographers have their own web sites too. Many teams have their own web sites. I don't know why you're getting your panties in a wad about this.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
diablopilot 2 #15 October 24, 2012 No respect. Jim may be a self promoter, but he single handedly did more for the promotion of Canopy Piloting in this sport than any other single person I know of. Plenty of others contributed along the way but no one to the extent of Mr. Slaton. There's nothing wrong with self promotion, it's how successful people get to be successful.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
