base570 1 #6 January 21, 2005 QuoteWarning to all: The local for this jump has requested that all information about it stay off the internet until after it's done. I will aggressively remove posts giving any information about the jump before Monday. I don't think anyone wants to give this one away yetI just hope there is a really good plan in place and everyone involved sticks to it. It has the potential to be grand or grave(no pun intended)! But then again don't all jumps??? please be safe! Jason

TomAiello 26 #18 January 22, 2005 Ok, this is starting to drift into descriptions of the jump. I'm shelving this thread for the next day or so.-- Tom Aiello [email protected] SnakeRiverBASE.com
TomAiello 26 #19 January 23, 2005 Ok. They're all done, and folks are headed home. Sounds like they got no love, due to weather. Nice attempt though. I love the concept--it's so BASE. I'll unlock this thread now. Keep in mind that I'll still edit out site names, and some jumper names (by request) as well. For those following along at home, this was about big way attempts being made from a not strictly legal object.-- Tom Aiello [email protected] SnakeRiverBASE.com
leroydb 0 #20 January 23, 2005 I wonder what would happen to a tower in general if 1 to 1.5 or 2 tons left it all at once, or even staggered? How structurally sound are they? Don't most A's have a wind rating? What is the current mass jump record from an A? ToM.. edit this if necessary...Leroy ..I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw my bath toys were a toaster and a radio...
Zennie 0 #21 January 24, 2005 We had some very qualified technical advisors along to assess pretty much anything you can think of. I just want to personally thank the organizers for their hard work and hospitality. The plan was a great one that everyone felt very good about. The jumpers that attended were all top notch. If the weather had cooperated, it would have happened. But even though the jump didn't happen, I personally felt the trip was a success. I got to see some old friends again and make some new ones. And for me, at least, jumps are just icing on the cake. So the current record of 30 still stands... for now. - Z "Always be yourself... unless you suck." - Joss Whedon
