  1. That's the going rate nowadays. Just got mine in June and it only took 21 days with no extra charge. Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"
  2. Mine is living about 10 miles from me in the house I'm still paying for. Damn lawyers! Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"

    Cross Keys

It was our pleasure to have you jump there. Look me up any time you can get down. Steve Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"

  7. Val, There are quite a few Marine sport jumpers. At least 8 that I know of at Cross Keys. Also met some at Atlanta's dz. No Marine teams that I know of, but you never know. 8. I jump at Cross Keys (NJ) year round. Get GOOD gloves and liners. A full face helmut makes life a lot better in freefall. I dress in layers as I have found that the underarmor is too warm to pack in. Enjoy! 9. Jen, If the "suppossed" skygods refuse to mentor new people, they'll be jumping alone sooner than they think. I always try to jump with as many people as possible as I want to learn something on every jump.See you in August? 11. I don't know what part of New Jersey you're in, but Cross Keys is the place to go in this neck of the woods. Great instructors, great planes. Check them out. 15. Mailin, Plenty of rw, cool and otherwise, people at Cross Keys. Just tell manifest when you check in. Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"

  17. I wear gloves on all my jumps starting around jump # 150.I've never had any problems with any of the handles (2 cutaways) when wearing them. Doing rw your hands can take a beating from a variety of things. I've used Neumman's, batting and golf types, but recently started using mechanics gloves from Lowe's, $10 a pair. Best bang for the buck so far. Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"
  18. Underage skydiving should commence the day after ALL the lawyers are dead. Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"
  19. Check out Cross Keys. They are having a 4 way scrambles the weekend of May 21/22. You can bring your own team or be put on a team. The standings will be posted on the NSL as part of the Rookie standings. There will be free coaching and party afterwards. 20. Superkat... Hopefully you went somewhere and thanked the GODS that neither one of you were hurt. Like everyone has stated, one time maybe a mistake, second time it's a habit. Yell, scream, with or with an instructor, or at the least, DON"T jump with him. I have an idea who it was and believe me I will yell and scream at him and I wasn't on the jump. Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"
  21. It's done all the time at Cross Keys. All you have to do is let someone know you want to do some rw. Ask at manifest. Steve Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"
  22. You forgot one: When approaching an intersection and having a red traffic signal, it is okay to run the red light, if at first you blow your horn twice. ( Same goes for stop signs) Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"
  23. I would talk to a rigger about how to pack my main to open slower. There are a variety of ways to slow it down, but a rigger should be able to point out the pros and cons of each. Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"
  24. I have a "glow face" alti as well and have found it works quite well on night jumps. Pay attention at the briefing and talk to an instructor about anything you might want clarified. I also have taken to wearing sunglasses after gearing up, until the door is open. This will preserve your night vision right up until the time you will need it most (someone will inadvertently turn on their strobe on the ride to 'tude). Use a cheap pair and stuff them in your jump suit. Relax and enjoy! 25. Couldn't find any "Aquabuoys" after quite a bit of searching. I did find the cheapest floatation gear at aircraftspruce.com Really reasonable.
