I use the patinum version and just have some templates set up and ready to go. It took a little practice to get good with it, but I can put out a video just as fast or a little faster than those on the linear system. If I needed to put out dvds on a back to back basis, I would spring for the pro and the Vasst plugins.

Who has one? What do you like or not like about it? Im still waiting on the stores to restock.....

This sounds like a common problem with this lense. I also have a Rainox that fogs inside. Switched to another lense on the next jump and no problem. I would like to hear how many have this lense and either do or do not have issues with it. I got fog in cold conditions and also in hot humid conditions. In Georgia.

I am in the market to get a laptop and want to use it for editing video. I will be purchasing a cx100 and Sony Vegas. I have a limited budget and can not afford a i7 machine at this time. I need to keep my price under $800. Will a dual core do the trick? I will be heading off to Best Buy tomorrow to have a look around. Will I do better to purchase from Best Buy or purchase from the web so I can pick and choose my components? Thanks for the info...

I need a new camcorder and am seeing and hearing that the CX 100 is the way to go. 2 things: 1. is this still the case or is there a better camera out now in the same price range? 2. Can my FF2 be modified to fit this camera?

Is there a reason why they do have cut away systems like we do? and why do they use such as small reserve that falls at such a high decent rate?

I do the same thing with the mirror except I have a cheaper and better way!! For about .50 cents you can get one of those mirrors that you stick on your side view mirror of your car and take the back off, sew it to the wrist strap of your altimeter and then put the mirror back on the backing. Now all you have to do is look at your alti and you can see the red record light is on. I have dubbed it my 50 cent cam eye.

I have not had the sports mode pop up the flash on me?? I use a mix of settings between the TV and the sports mode. Sport mode has worked very well for me. Especially in situations where the sun is slightly obscured at certain parts of the skydive. I will have to go back through the manual, but it was my undrerstanding that sport mode does not activate the flash.

Must be. Since the switch only has two prongs coming off of it, how did you wire your plug? I do have a stereo plug, I just do not know which way it should be wired.

Does anyone know if the blow switch is being offered as a "stereo" plug yet? The one I have is "mono" and will not operate the auto focus.

Is this like a velcro pouch that can be attached to the arm of a jumpsuit or worn around your forearm? I will be doing one soon with my mothers ashes. I was thinking of sewing a pouch like this so that all I have to do is flip open the velcro pouch when ready.

I am in the market for a replacement wide angle lense for my pc109. would you recomend the .3 from waycool for $150 or this .45 from B&H. I have used a .3 and like it, but do not like having to be so close at all times. It seems like the BH lense is pretty low profile which is another concern. Would you pay an extra $100 for the waycool that will not zoom past the half way or get the cheaper slightly longer lense that will zoom all the way.

Ok. Thanks for the replies. It sounds like I can purchase the docking station and then get a power supply and cord from a US rep. This is what I was hoping for!!

Another question I thought of is whether or not the charging portion of the docking station would be compatable between the PC109 and the PC109(E). If I get the power coverter and plug for a US set up will the docking station handle it ok?

Does the docking station for a pc109 have to be NTSC? I am looking for a replacement docking station and have found one, but it claims to be for the PC109(E). In other words, does the docking station do the data conversion or is it simply a tool that carries the data?

Does anyone know where to get a replacement docking station other than ebay for a PC109? there are not any listed there right now and have not had one listed for a couple of weeks. I prefer to not pay retail if possible. So probably not sony direct parts either.

I have heard from someone before that it was a tandem factory. Too bad. I was really looking forward to jumping while I was there. But I see the point about not wanting to take all day to make a jump. Dont want to spend my whole time there waiting. Thanks for the replys.

Does anyone have information about this drop zone? I will be going on a cruise in June and one of the ports is Cozumel Mexico. I think this dropzone is right there next to the port or at least a quick taxi ride to it. i have tried the phone number on the their website and get told that the number is no longer in service. Also, if anyone has ever been there can you comment on the dropzone and whether or not you would take someone there to make a tandem.

I agree that the tounge and bite switch do not have good quality builds. Actually I think they are fatily flawed in their design. The problem is that the membranes are too easily damaged. Since the membranes can be punctured, thus rendering the switch inoperable, then the switch does not have much of a chance. Now the blow switch has the firing mechanism safely tucked away from the parts that are in your mouth. This is a much better design in that no part of the actual switch is ever in your mouth. If you bite a hole in the tube you can still blow past it and activate the switch. I just dont like the design or the reliability of the conceptus switches. I have spent far more than I ever would have had I just bought a quality product to start off with.
