what's the lowest you've ever exited?
lazyfrog replied to panzwami's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
shoot, that's low... was there a special reason for that ?? my usual canopy (saphire2 139) usually takes nearly 1000ft to deploy, and that at full speed... it it were a hop n pop, guess would take till impact... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579 -

where do i jump in the south of france?
lazyfrog replied to mellomel's topic in Introductions and Greets
yeah, from Avignon you're approx 3 or 4 hour drive to Empuria, open all year long... or go to the mountains, Gap, Chambéry, or maybe try Le Luc or places like that. and would be cool to fill in your profile a bit ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579 -
and how is it loaded ?? maybe an effect ?? or maybe the slider is too big ?? that's what they had on the 1st series of Saphire2 and some people did not like the too slow openings... was told a nice sentence by a rep of Icarus : it's always easier to have a slow opening canopy opening faster than the contrary... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

I also dreamt recently, just after my 2nd wingsuit jump on which I had a delay on opening... so in my dream the delay is real long, so I cutaway, pull the silver one, takes real long to open, sniveling sniveling, and fully deploys just after I shake it a bit and grab my toggles to flare it nicely... Was a really hot one. Hope the day I really live it, it'll open slightly quicker (at least enough time to do my front riser turn ) ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

actually it looks nice compared to some CReW rigs I've seen... Can't wait to try... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

yeah sorry.. just as I posted, was wondering if it was advance or aerodyne... so it is the second one. thanks for the precision ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

I also did the same as you did, until they told me that's how Parachute de France do their 3 ring system... and now there is the Advance rig, with a "3 ring" but the middle one is not a ring, but some kind of oval shape... It received a prize for innovation at the PIA last year I think ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

the 1st main I bought was at 60 jumps, Sabre 1 150, loaded approx 1.24 (still jumpin it for wingsuit...) now I have a saphire2 139 loaded 1.34 (got it at 240 jumps approx) personnally going out of AFF I wouldn't recommend a sabre2 or saphire2, maybe more something like a Spectre, or better, a Silhouette, loaded around 1. Then you must take into consideration the level you think you have, the one your instructors (and conservative people) think you have, teh manufacturers recommendations and your budget. Just my 2 pennies, dont be over-confident. Many will say been there, seen it, some others won't be able to say it anymore... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

so what is teh use in signing these 15 pages waivers like you guys have in the US ??? By the way, I'm gonna sue Bill Booth for a few millons ,on the introductory video I was shown in Homestead, he said it was a high risk activity, but never warned it was addictive ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579 -
just joking about what people didn't show... I showed my S-Fly though... BM people in Empuria were really cool, but got more time with Asaf, real Party-Boy ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579
