  1. How will the military industrial complex justify itself if Oceania is not at war? By keeping the peace. War is Peace. Just ask the Ministry of Truth. Love fiction. . .it's credibility, its ability to be used for any other theme other than it's original purpose; say for instance unease about Totalitarism. ect. ect. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  3. Well nooooooooo shit sherlock. You are behind big time here. Your conspiracy theory theme is so 2003. You need to get up to date with 2011 conspiracy theories. You are failing your tin-hatters. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  4. You are making a large assumption for those who serve in todays or even yesterdays Armed Forces. This is unfair to us when we know for a fact that supporting and defending the Constitution is one of several mission statements of our jobs. Many posting here actually believe that defending Freedom is our only job and responsibility. And these idiots hold that against us and our mission when we perform jobs that aren't directly defensive in nature. Or sometimes consider us "ignorant children to protect from the evils of the Administration's doings" not knowing a god-damn thing about what they are saying. Some even accuse us as being ignorant puppets. They do not know shit about anything outside their own personal lifes and dare to judge us on this serious show of ignorance. There has never been a War or conflict where one can argue that we do not need to be there. Not even WWI or WWII. We elect to do the bidding of our elected officials. We do this because we are Men and Woman enough to own up to the Oath we have taken. This is generally very dangerous and can be accomplished by the few who are willing to take that risk; Not some arm-chair quarterback policy maker criticizing left and right from the protection of their laptops who don't have a third of the information. Sometimes our jobs directly supports and defends. However, you will never know what those are or even said missions occur and why. You only have CNN, FOX ect. ect. to give you any type of reporting. You are all full of shit in your assumptions. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  6. Good points. And this is where communication comes in. We usually knew before hand when things are slowing up and were quick to let the patrons know. (we have a sudden influx of customers and our extra servers will not be here in time. What can we do to help you for your extra wait time?) Bad food? Not really anything you can do so much without selling out the cooks, but i find that talking to the manager immediately with any complaint that a customer has can prevent a loss in tips. Managers generally will talk to the customers immediately and this helps a lot. But for the single mother of three kids, why should she get extra attention than anyone else due to her personal life? The customers did not put those kids in her lap. If anything, she pretty much has more motivation to learn the tricks of the trade. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  7. Well. . .if its a 1855 classification First Cru Bordeaux, especially a Paulliac region, maybe some extra service. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  8. Oh, I get you. . . Bad service than bad tip vs. no tip. Makes sense. I have a different opinion on that matter though. sometimes a "bad" tip may be mistaken as a "good" tip from someone who is from a different geography. Example. . .For average service I tip 20%. For outstanding service my cousin tips a dollar. . .at a $100 bill in downtown San Diego restaurant. Quite embarrasing for me. But when I was a server, I caught quickly everyone has different opinion on "great tipping". No tipping is a sure-fire way of telling the server they weren't up to par. A person can be Nice and always tip someone for their hard work, but it can be a disservice to them. give a man a fish, he can eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he can feed himself. In a sense, the best way to prevent someone from moving forward is never let them know they are screwed up. Some people judge someone by how they treat the servers (being nice); I judge someone by how they are willing to develop someone (hold them up to a standard). _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  9. I've waited tables for a period when I started out in life. I have to agree with Nataly here. If your service is crap, don't expect a good tip or any at all. I was mentored by an old hand when I first started. She was an expert of being where she had to be when she had to be. She pulled a hundred a night. It's all about multi-tasking. Why should someone have to deal with crap service when one would rather not go to a McD's and want to pay extra? I'll tell you something. . .Nobody, whose worse job ever was waiting tables, is going to lecture me on expectations on what they deserve. You can't hack it? Go work at a burger king or a Foot locker. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  10. Nope. Too many drunken tailgaters around to set up the tube. You haven't seen anything till you have volunteered a San Diego Charger/Oakland Raiders game. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  11. All the VA or any hospital has to do is say she is at risk. If family has release of those papers, it'll only take a second. No. The article fails to supply any criteria. We don't know why there's no more information. There is very little info on this incident except what's on a crappy, highly opinionated piece. We are both theorizing here. To be truthful, I would rather your theory being the right one. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  12. Or it could have been legal. After all, this happened over a year ago and there's been no update on the why they were confiscated. There's just a court order to get the guns a year after the seizure. Probably what happened is someone close to her (she's an Army Veteran) felt she was a threat to herself; hadn't heard from her in a while or didn't report to her therapy for a while, spooked and called the police for assistance. This happens a lot, actually. The police doesn't have to tell anyone about a victim(suspect?) personal HIPAA related issues. The police demand a court order to get the weapons back so they won't be held responsible when they release the guns back to her. Or maybe there's a year wait requirement to reclaim property. Either way, it is suspicious that there is almost a whole year to get an order out with all the resources that she as a Veteran has. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  14. No. The FED "created" the money. The banks lent out money. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  15. The twin towers were attacked twice. There were also some failed attempts. The levels are not supposed to be raised due to attacks. They are raised due to impending attacks or increased terrorist activity. It operates the exact way that the Military's Force Protection runs. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  18. I'll try here. . . Personally, I think the whole Blue and Green levels are bullshit and never should have been created as we will never achieve this level. The U. S. was always at risk of attacks for the whole of my lifetime. I remember the Eighties as being quite violent worldwide regarding terrorism and a considerable amount of threats to us. The last three decades would have never have seen those two colors. And I believe we will never see those two colors ever in the future. In my opinion, I believe the blue and green were added only for the purpose of providing a structure and scale for the other colors that matter. True. Never underestimate the power of compound interest. The same goes for automobiles. The largest owners of the US Debt are American citizens followed by China with 8% of debt ownership. Every Service member with a TSP account and many civillians with mutual funds and others are debtees. that wealth made from this is spread out quite a bit. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  25. Good points. After all. . . Why do christians have any fear at all? they should be brave to the point of suicidal indifference to consequences. They are supposively going to a better place. Because everyone wants to meet Jesus, they just don't want to die to get there. That's dumb. That's the only way to meet Jesus. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
