Especially when you are there to hear the whispers of "she makes me sick..." and other comments of them that show their dislike of the server just because they cant be a petite little thing. I dont know how many times I have been out with a group of women that I have had to "take up the slack a bit" on the tip. This is a group of less than 6 usually. they are bitchy, naggy, and as someone also pointed out, demanding. "theres a smudge on my knife, no water, wheres my water. etc." then after being royal bitches, they decide to cheap out and not leave an appropraite tip because they were bitches. And on top of that, I dont know how many times I have had to remind people that kitchen errors shouldnt be taken out on the wait staff. so yes, women are harder to please, and that difficulty grows exponentially for each woman you add to the group. Add a cute, size 0 bubbly blonde waitress in those lycra/polyester stretch pants that all the waitresses seem to wear these days to the mix, and that pretty much guarantees no tip. So I am listening to the news this AM laying in bed. On station A, they refer to a shoplifter that refused to stop for a deputy in the parking lot. Instead, he jumped in his car, and tried to back out of the space. The officer fired ONE shot at the tire to disable the vehicle (he missed). The suspect jumped out and ran. he was caught a few mins later. I get to work and start listening to station B. The teaser is "shootout in local walmart parking lot... details at the bottom of the hour" SHOOTOUT?!?!?!? Dont you usually have to have an EXCHANGE of gunfire to be a "shootout"? Next it will be "pedestrial almost killed trying to cross the street" (he fell on the ice and hit his head on the curb... he COULD have died from blunt force trauma) Or how about "17 skydivers almost killed in skydiving jump." I agree. my life insurance company didnt bat an eye when they were told I skydive. many actuaries actually pay attention to our sport's statistics. when I said "I skydive, is that a problem?" my agent asked "you dont FLY airplanes do you? skydiving is no big deal, but actually FLYING them as a private pilot will be a problem. you can skydive, no problem. OR you can fly, but it will cost you more. what backwards state are you in? And why wouldnt they just issue an amended regular license? In indiana, when you lose yours, they just take your picture again and after paying the fee, you get another regular license. I am just using the full auto setting. I am aware of the impact of the aperture on the depth of field. Based on the amount of light needed for proper exposure for the CCD, it seems like the lens just isnt "fast" enough to handle what the body needs. just flying by the seat of my pants, if feels like the digital version requires alot more light than the film body. That particular lens was barely fast enough before, and now it seems worse. Two wrongs don't make a right, however three lefts DO!

Ok, I have noticed this on mine, not sure if anyone else has seen this. I dont use this body for freefall, but I know alot of you do and might have some answers. I notice that the depth of field is extremely shallow on mine. At first, I thought there was a malfunction. it seemed like all my photos were out of focus. then after looking at the pictures carefully, I could always find one spot that WAS in focus. but everything else wasnt. and I mean its REALLY shallow. from 10 feet, somebody sitting on the couch would have thier knees in focus, but the face isnt. we are talking a depth of field in the order of 6 inches in that scenario. It could all be my lens. I am shooting using the original EF 28-75 lens that came with my Rebel 2000. I just havent had the cash to pony up for a new lens to test this theory. not sure if this is applicable... I investigated renting a class C RV (the smallish kind that is built on a full size van frame, sleeps 4-6) from a national chain starting out in Indy. In this area, as of 3 years ago, they were wanting $300 per day, plus mileage, with a $1500-$3000 down payment/security deposit up front. needless to say I passed on that one. Method one.. shove a straight pin THROUGH the jacketing so it also contacts the core wire. that tends to REALLY screw up the signal by shorting the cable. I prefer doing this somewhere in a public area... like the back of the condo. no proof its you... coulda been anyone. oops just make sure you know which one is yours. could be REALLY sucky if you hit the wrong one. Been there, done that, got the Tshirt.. and damn, it was an EXPENSIVE shirt. Run away. unless you love her, then grab her and make her run away with you. The chances of her getting fu$$ed up greatly outweigh the chances of her keeping her head on straight and investing the money or some crap. If she was so inclined, she could work hard and save instead. Besides, $$ aint everything. I have done some stupid sh$$ in my life. I can honestly say none of it comes close to dating the stripper(s). Some SERIOUSLY messed up Sh$$. Unless your life is REALLY boring, and you feel you need to build more character, I say run away. Odds are you are more likely to get burned by this bonfire than to just stand idly by drinking beer like you are used to. The only thing I see positive from my experiences is that I am stronger, more confident man because of it. it was a trial by fire, but something I personally needed to kick my ass into gear (and get my priorities in line) Hindsight is an amazing thing. I'd Second his Newegg recommendation. I have NEVER had a hard time with them. The one time I DID start to have a hard time, they corrected it quickly. I had an LCD monitor arrive and die within a week. Monitors/LCDs are replaced only with a reference code from the manufacturer's tech support department confirming its a warranty issue. Until you get that, Newegg wont talk about a return. After they gave me the number to the company, I called, and called, and called all afternoon... and it was always a fast busy (indicating line/trunk problems). I called Newegg and explained, and after trying for themselves, they waived the requirement and isued an RMA. Alot of companies would have just said "sorry its our policy, I guess you'll have to wait for the line to start working again". Year to date, I have run about $15,000 through them for work equipment. How about this one. Second time EVER at my wife's Parents' house (she was just a GF at the time)... Anyway, I was walking out the back door late that night in the dark to go to the hottub, and didnt notice they had closed the screen door. went RIGHT through it, bending and ruining the door completely. Dont worry. I wasnt seriously injured... Just STRAINED myself a little. And to make matters worse, earlier this year we got a young boxer (she's about 1 1/2 now). She apparently doesnt comprehend screen doors either. At home she went through ours several times the day I installed it, but quit when I installed one of those heavy duty aluminum screen protectors so she didnt scratch big holes in it when she wanted in. I didnt comprehend thats why she stopped crashing through until she took after her dad and ran through the exact same screen door at my inlaws....
