I agree also and going the other way. I'm impressed with the design for the Icon free bag going a different route. No rubber bands but yet, IMO, more neatly stowed lines in the pouch and still a safety stow. It is an old design used in military surplus mains years back I believe. I had always known of this design and had always wondered why it wasn't used in a free bag. I like it, it makes it just a bit easier to pack and I like how with no effort the line stows are neater. I have run into the stolen glory thing plenty. As a Marine, I have run into so many phony's that have to be bigger better. Like recon or seals. The ones that I have run into are usually ready to fight anyone for anyting. little psyco if you ask me. there is something in there personality that they feel in significant, so they have to show up everyone even if it means faking it. I always say, I'll be back in a minute and just take off and avoid them. not true, ant bites usually work faster, a brow recluse bite is different in many cases, but what she described wasnt an ant bite, it is more like a recluse bite. The research I did said different. Fall rate with out the flyers input is determined by suface area, drag, and density of mass. Jump suits control drag, body position (belly or sit) and make up (tall, thin, small wide) control surface area, density of mass is also body make up. A soft person will tend to float more then someone who is pretty cut from working out. Muscle is more dense than fat. Where the acutual differences are don't just reside between men and women it is between each person. Not too sure how all that effects wing load except density of mass. In a vacuum everything falls the same. A pound of feathers equals a pound of lead, a pound is a pound, but it takes more feathers and less lead for each to weigh a pound. Lead feels heavier because of the density in our atmosphere because of gravity thus wing load slightly higher. I'm no physics major but I think this is in the right direction. Agreed. It's just more time consuming. Also agreed. I use this method on free fall rigs because of material managment when trying to bag the canopy. Agreed again, it has a few extra steps that if you are new to packing maybe should stay away from until you learna pro pack. Yes, learn one way and stay with that. Curv z are great. I love them for doing CRW. I checked out the website above. Crocs remind me of Wiley X. I like them both, Z's and X's, and have tried both, the conversion with the X's is sort of a pain. and plus if your like me and loose or break sunglasses on a regular basis you will want a pair of sunglasses and then a separate pair of goggles. That's why you just tag and release. I do it because I grew up in it. My mom was a private pilot and later my Dad's student in the early 70's. Dad's had his own club at NC state college and used the Thackers and the Fayards DZs I grew up on those Drop zones. He owned several military surplus rigs and rigged them all. I still remember what carolina sky sports looked like before it burned and they had to rebuild it. I didn't get intothe sport until about 5 years ago beacuse of Marines, family ect. but lets just say i was born to do it. and I contoinue because of the friends, adrenaline, and just playing in the sky.
