FAA regs state that you have to keep AAD's maintained according to manufacturer requirements (right?) So if the AAD was not "airwothy" then this would be neglagence. Yes its a backup device but it the US it must be maintained if its going to be on the reserve system I am fucking your mom right now

Side questions does the CRW placard specifiy it as such." They have a certain responsibility to let you know what you had, but, you also have they same responsibility. Did you call them prior to jumping it to ask them about it? Or did you just assume it was going to be fine? Assumptions usually are not good in skydiving. Im not married.... but here is what you do. I did this will my family/girlriend of 3 years and it works well (it never worked on the mom, but, she is a mom...) All she has every heard about skydiving is stuff like this "skydiver dies after falling 1 million feet." thus she has a very negative view of skydiving. SOOOO giver her a good view of it. Every time you come home from the DZ tell her how great everything went. took about 6 months of doing this and now I dont get any flack from my GF. I am fucking your mom right now

Hell no. IMO Here is how I look at it. You can drive a car untill in wont start thus, a car no matter how old will have some value in it. You could also jump a parachute untill it does its own version of not starting.... but then you are dead or dealing with a really scary situation. Thus, at a certain point skydiving gear should be considered to have no or very little value. IMO this rig is way passed the not worth shit point. definatly not work 2k. You say the main has 1 jump? Legal does not always mean ethical.... The only way capitalism will work is if people play the game ethically. Unfortunatly all to often this does not happen and this is where there is a problem... It is perfectly legal to pay your employee (who may be unskilled and cannot find other work) min wage, but that does not make it ethical IMO. (just one example, and not really a big one.) I think you will find that a speed skydiver coming out of a full verticle dive into a track will have a MUCH MUCH (thats two muches) higher top speed that someone who is only attempting to gain speen via a horizontal track. Also, How do you define a horizontal track... would there be a make slope that one could have to still be considered horizontal... how would you judge that? I am fucking your mom right now

try cocking the pilot chute before you put the canopy in the bad. Its a little tougher to pack buy then you know you wont get your canopy caught up in the kill line. I know a guy who cocked his PC after putting the canopy in the bag and one time the canopy got caught up in the kill line as he cocked it and it ripped a small hole in the canopy.
