  1. WooHoo, this guy is really a true artist! No idea what the plane is, sorry. But thanks for the link, hell of a rider this guy! P.S.: After so much effort he would have deserved a bike-wash much more like those infamous car-wash scenes, huh? Anyway, the girls looked dishy The sky is not the limit. The ground is. 2. Oh yes, indeed. What a strong girl you are! And how cute you look! And real "Maß" beer mugs, with real beer from Munich, yumm Ya considering to apply for job as a waitress at the next Munich Oktoberfest? If yes, THIS would make me come around! 3. And cute! With such an eye for details. Really nice one, thanks for sharing!
  4. Outstanding. I now sort of know how adult people felt when they followed the reports about the 60s air-superheroes (Kittinger, Gagarin, Armstrong etc) on the radio or on TV. For a short moment the feeling of "we shall progress eternally" and "everything is possible" was back in my mind...
  5. She sure does, hehe. BTW: Just to let you know in case you travel Germany: One REALLY SURE way to piss of a female no matter her age is to address her this way "Fräulein" is sooooooooo old-fashioned. The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks
  6. Rack's OK, but the beer jug's way too small, this is just a bloody pint, I suppose - ought to be a "Maß" which holds a full litre of beer. The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks
  7. Ok if i told you he's got less than 200 jumps is that ring a bell I don't think you mean this is Shah? The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks
  8. Grööööhl! Am besten ist, dass es Typen gibt, die nicht merken, dass es ein Fake ist... (Best thing 'bout it is there are squirrels who don't realise it's just a fake.) The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks
  9. No, I just used the occasion to - once again - emphasise that these Oktoberfests are nothing typically German. Sad enough we're often stereotyped this way in lotta movies It's just like assuming all 'mericans behave and look like Hollywood-Texans. I wore lederhosen shorts when I was a boy - quite good as "shock absorbers" when mum decided I needed a spanking... And, being a good walker/hiker and exercising in the gym my calves (that's what counts if it comes to lederhosen) are "presentable" The sky is not the limit. The ground is. 10. I hope all of you readers here are fully aware of the fact that the abovementioned habits of "schnitzel-eating", "polka-dancing" and "dirndl/lederhosen" are as "typically German" as lasso-throwing, 10-gallon-hats etc are "typically American" But it's just a nice occasion to have fun despite the location of the respective Oktoberfest The sky is not the limit. 11. Rack Check anyone? Heh heh... The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks
  12. Apart from pub fighting (this year worse than ever before), vomiting, bum & rack grabbing by drunken asswipes etc it must be cool partying Have never been there and never intend to go there. Way too touristy, way too expensive, way too Bavarian http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrrqFUeJMbQ Sorry for the Pidgin English. "Vot do you weer under your skits?" This one covers more topics, in quite a colourful way, especially towards the end... The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks

  17. Nice one, once again. A gunman in your hospital, this would have added to your mishaps, indeed Glad to see you're progressing, keep on fighting
  18. I straight fell in love with this song in 1979. Moreover, a classmate got the album in Poland shortly after and we played it again and again and, of course, I copied it on my portable cassette recorder. (Heh, heh... no way to stop us from pirate-copying in those days ) Heard it last weekend on the way to the DZ, couldn't get it outta my mind and even stomped its rhythm on the ride up, heh heh! What song am I telling about? It's TUSK by Fleetwood Mac. Most of its mental "stickiness" ought to be based on its drum line but the song itself is a masterpiece. The original video is also very cool. Listen to it and be hypnotised and lotta fun to get it outta yer head when goin' skydivin' on the weekend The sky is not the limit. The ground is. Omakase!

To a German, the word Omakase just looks like Omakäse (granny's cheese) which is absolutely hilarious + Apart from that: I tried sushi once, but didn't inhale. The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks
  21. No, there is a Windows (GUI) freeware programme available which also provides the opportunity of batch jobs for resizing, sharpening, softening, brightening, rotation etc pp with only a few clicks It's Photofiltre, I have been using it for years no need for 'shop or anything else Also has a number of free add-ons/plug-ins. 22. Sexy as hell! Would be even sexier with a teardrop rig P.S.: I wonder if this is considered a fetish or just "special-group-related" The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks
  23. Titanium implants have long been believed to remain untouched in the human body, but modern research shows they do corrode and there is debris shed into the body due to mechanical wear. The amounts are low so that it took until now that it is possible to not only verify but also measure the actual amounts. See here There have been patients with titanium implants complaining about certain conditions including headaches, burnout etc. See here (German website) IF titanium poisoning is a topic there are several options, e.g. corporeal removal or removing the implant BUT this needs consultation with the respective consultant(s), lab analysis etc. I have had a 10-inch-plate screwed to my right humerus for 9 years and haven't had any problems since. Wouldn't want to have it removed as it was a risky operation due to the kind of fracture (multiple, compound) and it took several months until my nervus radialis had fully recovered (paraesthesia, occasional numbness in thumb and index finger etc) so I don't want to take chances especially with all the additional problems due to the implant now being covered in bone callus... But everyone's problems are unique so I think your friend will need to consult with his surgeon - see above. The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks
  24. And, apart from that, he explains to others how to learn to skydive really fast: "I've read the entire USPA SIM and am constantly asking questions and watching video of more experienced divers since that's the fastest way to learn." But, according to his comments, you shouldn't watch videos of Sparky: "Admittedly, your own videos could use some work, so taking advice from your personal camera work experience isn't exactly reassuring." Yeah hell, if MaddSkillZ-TunnelTime-LearningFast-Wonderboy tells so, it must be true. Sparky, if I were you, I'd ask HIM for some advice ... For example a gem like this one: "Fortunately, the nature of where the camera is placed (on top of my head), I don't pay attention to it and just go ahead with my normal skydive." I don't know what he intended to say with his first - unfinished - sentence, but the "I don't pay attention to the cam" is such a classic one, innit? However, as someone else mentioned here, he wouldn't listen to what's said in the small camera incident article... I also think what Dave said: You can't make someone stop doing dangerous things, they need to stop themselves or mother nature/the laws of physics will do. 'nuff bitched, work to be done is waiting The sky is not the limit. The ground is. The Society of Skydiving Ducks
  25. The AN-2 is quite an experience. Door is high but not very wide, prop blast is quite strong... you drop and... then you feel as if in the doldrums 'coz the good ol' lady doesn't ride very fast. A good number of experienced jumper were quite surprised and some of 'em gave a good laugh to the others when they toppled over Jumping with a fit tough 83-year-old is fun, as I wrote before. And I see it this way: To them young chicks (20+ or so) I am a dinosaur but for Ida I (at 51 years of age) was a crisp young toy-boy^T airtaxi driver , gave me a good feeling, too!
