  1. Your getting Canopies from a guy in OZ and shippiong them to the states, cheaper than you can buy them for in the States?? If you ever received a shipping quote from Serg, his prices and LOW shipping beats most deals here in the States. My last canopy was at my doorstep in 2 days via Air /w insurance. Good customer service and cheap shipping. "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  2. Bought my last canopy from him. Bought another canopy from him today. He is GTG, great guy. He is also an authorized Aerodyne dealer so you can know he is legit. "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  3. Have you considered Elsinore? LOs during the weekends and throughout the week, too (depending on who is there jumping or training). Bunk house is cheap, wifi, closer to Ontario Int'l Airport, and closer to the "life." I would seriously consider it. In any case, a car rental would be ideal since you can go to both DZ's... and the one south in San Diego! 3 DZ's in one day... only in California. BTW... our weather lately has been 80*F/27*C. 4. For clarification, here are some pictures of my current Lotus 190 pro-packed with my M6-sized Mirage. http://www.sk8ng.com/dusty/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/bag-1.jpg http://www.sk8ng.com/dusty/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/bag-2.jpg http://www.sk8ng.com/dusty/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/packing-tray.jpg http://www.sk8ng.com/dusty/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/packed-1.jpg http://www.sk8ng.com/dusty/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/packed-2.jpg What do you guys think about accommodating a Lotus 170 in the same configuration? Edit: To add, Brian Germain has said the Lotus 170 is ~10% larger than a nonairlocked 170 (depending on dryness of location). Thanks "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  5. Thanks for the tip. I'll have to call Mirage next week and ask. I also emailed Brian Germain to ask what the volume of the 190 v. 170; to get an idea. Keep in mind, the rig (used) came with a Spectre 210 that I flew a couple times before going to the 190. (So I don't know the volume of the Spectre 210 v. Lotus 190) I'll take a picture and post my current Lotus 190 in the D-Bag when I get to packing it in the morning. "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  6. Just a new canopy. The Lotus 190 I have now packs pretty nicely with a little bit more due to the airlocks. My big concern is having stretched the container/d-bag (maybe) so much that putting a 170 would definitely make it too soft. Come and find me, my bright-ass rig is easy to spot (yellow/red). 7. Currently flying a Lotus 190 in my M6 sized Mirage container. Any opinions on putting a Lotus 170 in the same container? Too small/soft? Thanks ...Here is the Mirage Container Sizing Guide for reference: http://www.miragesys.com/sizing-guide/ "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  8. That sucks. Mirela, I know you're a regular there... have you checked the office or school to see if it came up? (I'm sure you already asked.) I hope you find your stuff. See you at the DZ this weekend if you're around. "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  9. Should have told me back in June BEFORE I left... I was jumping at Hassfurt and Speichersdorf. Generally, the only American, too! "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  10. The fogging is generally gone once I leave the plane but starts again under canopy... kinda has me freaked out when I want to keep an eye on the airspace. Any suggestions? Has anyone used the anti-fog stuff available in scuba stores? Work well? Last long? Thanks "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  11. Bah! Almost 7 weeks and still no Cypres.... my rig is sitting collecting dust. I would jump without it but don't wanna shell out $$$ again to repack it. I'm almost tempted to rent. "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  12. Have you tried recording in 720p instead of 1080p? "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  13. Thanks so much! "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  14. How long is the typical domestic turnaround time for 4 year cypres 2 service this time of year? And if required, sent to Germany? Just trying to get some guestimates since I may have some stuff happening down the road... Thanks "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  15. Thanks for post thing videos! Looks badass Definitely cannot beat the price factor. Can't wait to get to the 2-300 jump mark now to jump camera. "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  16. Can you please post up a video of the quality of the video? I have a server to upload to if you wish. Email me at niteqwill (at) GMAIL dot com "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  17. When someone receives theirs... please post a review.
  18. Uh....... "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  19. Same here. Bigger on the locking and smaller everywhere else. "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  20. Sweet! Yea, they're customer service rocks! On one last dive, we funneled and someone in our group lost their Neptune after crashing into a few bodies (which at the time I didn't know, went flying past my face). He explained to Alti that the mount broke, they happily sent him a new one with a new mount AND armor casing for free. THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE. "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  21. My old bike. 2005 Kawasaki 636. Heavily modded engine (think of "everything" minus a turbo) "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  22. post the picture NOT the thumbnail of the picture "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  23. I just use a huge tough box that I bought at wal-mart. I realized that lugging a bag to the dz is a pain in the ass. Plus when I feel lazy on the last jump and don't want to pack, I just throw it all in the box. "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  24. 1K to snivel?! What canopy are you flying? "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
  25. Prepare.... to... be.... broke! "Fail, fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett
