  1. You heard skymama's quote this aint a democracy. It may not matter how many votes you get..... But just for the record I voted pro-you As wrong as I think you are sometimes (& occasionally I agree with you at others), you're still amusing.
  2. Yeah you freakind dork! It's because of the shape of my freaking head! Have you seen this thing! Aero freaking dynamic!
  3. Table Rock makes ridiculously hoppy beers. I don't drink 'em b/c I'm not a big fan of hops, but I've heard their Hopzilla is ridiculously hoppy & delicious (if you like hops)
  4. ooo good point! & it says "student" & they have 282 posts. Self hatin'? & yea their is correct
  5. Why do I have trouble believing this? She's unbelievable? Don't know, we'll see how believable she is if she is at Palatka in 3 weeks. If you mean April 16th weekend, I'll be there. Makes me wonder who you are though..... And I'm always a good girl If you've ever seen other wise...ssssshhhhhhhh Oh and just to put it out there, I did get an email from the mod this morning telling me why my post was deleted.
  6. Agreed! Happy Birthday Deedy! hey now! this is my thread to go off topic in get your own!
  7. Sorry I don't live up to your level of deviousness. I'm a good little girl
  8. The forum rules note that posts can be removed for pretty much any reason without notice. That being said, you might want to just PM one of the mods of that forum and ask them (nicely) where you stepped over/if you stepped over, etc. It happens......not to me......but hey... I know what got deleted, and why... It was getting off topic into the 'most people dont need/want to know' area, so it got shit canned. staying on topic is no fun. guess i'll have to ressurect that ADHD thread again to keep myself from getting off topic......
  9. Nope. mine was the first one deleted. I'm guessing I "got off topic" even though I don't think I was. I guess they're a little more strict in the non-Bonfire forums...
  10. lol. you in the Tampa area? if so I'll buy you a beer if not..... come visit & I'll buy you a beer. Till then, here's a virtual beer In fact here's a whole case Sorry I couldn't make them green
  11. So apparently one of my posts in the gear & rigging section was deleted. Except I don't know why. Do the mods not tell you why they delete your posts? Obviously, something about my post must have broken the rules somehow. But how am I supposed to not do it again if I don't know why it was deleted?
  12. Please read the above posts. It's usually stuff like that that turns them into "farmer mcnasty" in the first place. People will cut locks, leave open gates, and ruin crops trying to get their stuff back. Generally that makes them less willing to help other skydivers in the future. i dont know the specifics thats why I was asking. Where I live, the farms are nothing but open corn fields with maybe a small picket like fence. I could easily enter the field without breaking anything or anybody knowing I was there. We don't have farms near my DZ, but we have gated fields. I know a lot of people in the past have just gone & cut locks w/o even asking first. Now we can get in trouble for just landing on their property even though none of those people are even at our DZ anymore. Thankfully the cops are usually on our side, but still its a pain to deal with them. It's better to ask first and try to be nice.

  14. glad I have a reliable rigger that will NEVER let any of that kind of stuff happen to me
  15. I did not know that. I only have a few base friends. I guess they all just happen to have the integrated riser rigs. Thanks for correcting me
  16. I'm with you on this one. I look like crap during a day of jumping. It's to the point that if I shower and change into my normal clothes at the end of the day, people don't even recognize me. I'm actually pretty girly outside the DZ, but at the DZ I'm all tom boy.
  17. Base rigs don't have a cut away system. So if you can see a cut away handle, its not a base rig. So they probably weren't actually base jumping & probalby didn't actually talk to a real base jumper before making the commercial. I haven't seen the commercial, but I kinda assume that's what he's getting at with his post.
  18. If you are nervous about it, go with what you know and are comfortable with. If you just want to do something fun, talk to your instructor about ridiculous & fun Cessna exits that are within your skills.
  19. Frostbite occurs in stages. They probably could have had the first stage of frostbite and not even known it. It's relatively easy to recover from that. Plus they were only in that weather for a minute. It probably wasn't long enough for frostbite to set in.
  20. It's not me, but it is my car.
  21. I'd think that really depends on where you are sitting I said "pretty hard" not impossible... I'd think a high impact from a bowling ball to your face has a good chance of killing you actually.....
  22. Well, when I was a broke-college-student-packer, a lunch and gatorade went a LONG way. Especially during a hot and busy Saturday during the summer. I used to contribute to the beer fund instead of buying when I was sub 21. or I would ask a friend to go get it for me & just gave them the $.
  23. I suggest getting your measurements taken and email sunpath and ask them. They would be the best people to answer your question. If you are looking at a specific rig email them the id & they'll tell you if that specific rig will fit you or can be altered to fit you.
  24. Remember, glitter is the herpes of the craft world. It never goes away!
