  1. You are using the term "friends" loosely...real friends don't cockblock (and best friends stop you from cockblocking yourself...) Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  2. Doctor’s salaries are not the culprit of exorbitant healthcare costs...many other factors are driving the costs, i.e. frivolous lawsuits and medical malpractice, uninsured people not paying for their treatment, etc. Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  3. Gotta have a woman to get beaten by one...but on that note, if she is hitting/throwing shit at me out of anger, see ya...if she is dressed in leather, with whips and chains and beating my ass, well then, GAME ON! Dudeist Skydiver #0511

  9. I am from Minnesota, there is no MinnesotaSkydiving, I'm going with skyride (steer clear). I did my AFF at Skydive Twincities and felt I had good training, and it is still my primary dz in the summer months. I would also recommend checking out Skydive Minnesota (it's in Milaca, just east of St. Cloud, www.skydiveminnesota.org), Wissota (in Chippewa Falls, WI, www.skydivewissota), Skydive Superior (Superior, WI, www.skydivesuperior), and Waseca (Waseca, MN, www.mnskydive.com). There is also a new DZ opening in Winsted, MN, called West Side Skydivers. I beleive the open date is May 1st, and they are going to be using the AFP model for instruction of new students. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. Hope this helps. Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  10. That's what I've heard, I called SVCO and they said they didn't have any harnesses for that...maybe just my weight belt will work if I tighten it up...hmmm. Posting this in case anyone else has the same questions I did. I used my weight belt (no weight since I don't jump with weight) snugged up around my waist as tight as I could get it and then pulled the excess material of my jumpsuit up. The weight belt held everything perfectly in place and I had no issues with my booties in the tunnel. BTW, the tunnel freakin rocks!!! Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  11. Fixed it for ya... Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  12. I'd try it, hell, I'll try just about anything twice, just in case the first time was a fluke... Dudeist Skydiver #0511

  14. So, I'm going to the tunnel for the first time this upcoming weekend and I realized I might have a problem...I am going to be flying my bootie suit, but without my rig on the suit is a touch long and the booties will come off my feet. I am considering wearing a climbing harness in the tunnel to have the same cinching affect as my leg straps. Just wondering what other people have done that may have had a similar issue...getting a rig wrap isn't an option at this point due to time constraints... Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  15. Let me put it this way, I would much rather drive the roads if everyone was high than if everyone was drunk... Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  16. So your primary argument against gay marriage is over the definition? So then it would be ok in your mind and idealology if it were called "Civil Union" instead? Definitions change overtime, and with culture, so your definition arguement is fleeting at best. I don't mean to incite here, just trying to gain an understanding of where the opposition is stemming from...if it is a matter of sin, in your opinion, that is the problem, then let me ask if you sin (and if so, what makes one sin more reprehensible than any other?)... Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  17. While there is a bit of a leap in there, I see your point...again, though, I am looking for a valid reason, particularly from those in the crowd that are blatantly against gay marriage. Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  18. The idea that a lesbian or a homosexual can't marry is crap. I am a Christian, and don't see what the big deal is...if "marriage" is supposedly a Christian institution (which seems to be the prevailing argument amongst those against this) then should agnostics, atheists, Muslims, etc not be allowed to marry? There is really no justifiable argument against same sex marriage. If two people are committed to each other, why should they not be afforded the same rights as a couple of opposite sexes (i.e. couple healthcare, visitation rights at hospitals, tax breaks, etc)? Additionally, the idea that God wants anyone dead is narrow minded, Jesus Christ (whether you accept Him or not, completely your choice) was an incredible model for all of humanity to lead our lives by, he embraced love, compassion, and did not pass prejudice on people (he intermixed with the lowest of society at the time including tax collectors, shepards, and prostitutes). Regardless of your belief system, or lack of belief system, the model of Jesus Christ is a good one to try and lead your life by. Just my $0.02 and I'm sure I will get flamed for this...lol Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  19. How come I get the feeling there was a certain odor wafting through the car? Can't quite put my finger on it...hmmm? Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  20. Posts like this make me question your dedication to skydiving... Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  21. Here's mine right after it was done (the ditch is still bleeding...lol), just got it about 3 weeks ago...it's on the inside of my elbow/forearm... Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  22. I can say with 100% certainty that there was no chop and subsequent reserve deployment since that was my 5000' hop'n'pop during student status... Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  23. Maybe this is already around, haven't shopped audibles lately, but it would be cool to enable a audible with GPS, taking readings at incriments of say .1 sec as well as recording altitude at the same incriments. Then you could download into your pc and look at your skydive in 3D. Could be especially useful for canopy pilots wanting to know ground speed, vertical descent rate, etc...also beneficial for students struggling with landing patterns... Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  24. Dudes, sign me up...DS 0511... Dudeist Skydiver #0511
  25. Camping at the DZ Friday night and Saturday night. Saturday is the NPSL meet, so jumping all day weather permitting...Just another ordinary weekend, but this weekend it's time to blow stuff up! Dudeist Skydiver #0511
