I did recently learn that Chuck Owen and Cary's son are the webmasters and SEO guys for the company. Maybe they are the ones who will be the sacrificial lambs in this one. There will be no addressing the customers as "Bitches", "Morons" or "Retards"!

I just received word that Blue Skies Magazine is sponsoring a boogie at the Skyride DZ in Tennessee. Can anyone verify this? If it's true, I am canceling my subscription and demanding my money back for the remaining 11 months that I paid for! There will be no addressing the customers as "Bitches", "Morons" or "Retards"!

You have some really good points there, but due to the greediness of the middle men, and the laziness of the dzo's who deal with the middle men, whether it be Skyride, Pro or the others, this is a problem that will likely not go away any time soon. As for your point about dzo's doing their own marketing, I've heard dzo's say more times than I can count that they can't compete with Skyride, so that's part of what I mean when I said "laziness". I'm not done reading all the court stuff yet, but what I am interpreting so far is that while it may not be a direct quote from Cary, it's in the court papers and I agree that I do not see anywhere that the quote is disputed, so that's as good as if he said it himself. Furthermore, I also agree that Chuck, that was another failed attempt to derail the thread. Who cares about what Jumpdude does for a living, or more like your version of it, through all of his rants about what you and your followers do, he puts out good solid information. I too get annoyed when I have to read some of the stuff he posts, but I do find that he is pretty consistent about putting out good and accurate info. I didn't see you disputing any of the info, you just tried to divert the attention by claiming that he works on garbage trucks? Is that the best that you can do? You only did that because there is no disputing the facts. I've been told there was some kind of clause in the USPA/Skyride agreement that Cary would not start any new company names in effort to hide assets, but I'm still reading that stuff as well. Don't worry, the Nashville case has not been forgotten. Even though it was a really small case compared to the Eloy case, it was actually monumental because it showed that the 1 800 Skyride shell game can be beat. If the info that I got about it was correct, you guys had the city legal team well informed about the shell game (just like the Eloy case was informed) and they were prepared for it and was hugely successful at executing the prosecution of that case. The question is, if they try to post stickers again this year or in future years, would they be in Contempt of Court or would other legal action be brought against them? I can tell you for sure that his Dad, Mom, Grandbirds and Great Grandbirds were not smuggled. The breeder I got Peanut from has four generations of Peanut's family tree. Before that, I have no idea, but it's possible that the smuggling could have happened. Peanut has no knowledge of the Brazil wilderness, and was bred and hand fed here in the states, actually, by a breeder down in Indy who is a true bird lover. You wouldn't believe the screening process I had to go through just to get him to sell me a bird. He still calls once a year to follow up on Peanut's well being. It's truly a life time commitment and they don't do well if they get transplanted to new a living environment or home. I've heard of birds, mostly other breeds, grieving themselves to death if they get attached to an owner and get abruptly sold or adopted out to a new family or owner. The amazing thing about him, as well as most breeds of Macaws, is that they over 5,000 psi of biting power in their beaks, so that being said, they can bite a grown man's finger off with a simple "SNIP!" and it's gone, yet they can be, and they are so gentle that they can peel a grape. The Blue Hyacinth has over 6,000 psi, so even though they are more gentle than my Blue and Gold, imagine how much damage they can do. During the growing up period, I've had my share of nicks out of my fingers, but all were little top layer skin cuts. He finally got out of the biting and testing phase after about a year and a half old. Now, he's as gentle as can be. The good part about Macaws is that provided nothing happens to them and they die from external causes, ie, house fire, other animal, disease etc, he will live for 80 or so years (people years), so I most likely won't be burying him. They are a bunch of nice folks, they are trying to do you a favor by educating you about the company you are keeping. Do what you will, but I would seriously recommend that you at least look at the info those guys are giving you. They've been publicly in this issue for quite a few years and they seen the whole scam unfold over the years and they are telling you the truth. Fast Eddie and Checkthespot are only trying to save their asses and make those guys look bad, but the real issue is that they are hooked up with a real bad company and they know it, but their ego's are to big to admit they are in the wrong. Like I said, do what you will with the info they are giving you, but keep in mind regardless of what those guys are telling you, the ones who are trying to educate you are not the bad guys here. Many never make it to a DZ, therefore giving skydiving as a whole a bad name. Maybe you should step back for a second and read this thread again, especially your post that I am responding to. Yes, you are! I disagree! Ignorance only goes soo far. If you get pulled over for speeding, does the cop give you a break if you tell him you didn't know what the speed limit was? Most of the time, no! (At least not the cops here in Indiana) Granted, the new jumper may not know, but sooner or later, they find info, then more and more, or they see a news story on TV about the scam, at that point they are informed and if they continue to jump there, that constitutes the looking the other way as described earlier in this thread. Skyride uses thousands of names, Skydive Georgia is one one of, how many thousand? They have everything from Skydive Ga to Skydive Texas and Skydive Alaska. The change of ownership has been a routine rumor for years. That's just to make people think Cary is getting out, but in reality, how can he do that? He makes too much money. The answer to that question is no, that's another part of the scam, they create confusion about who they are so the other website names give the appearance of looking like another DZ all together. Our guys down south may be putting up one hell of a fight and even making progress, but the income on the national level is greater than the loss in the Tennessee and Alabama markets. We need more DZO's to create more scam alerts for their regions if we want to win the battle. The only way Skyride is going to go away is if they can't make money from their bullshit websites.
