The customers got scammed by thinking they were giving money to the ASPCA and that was proven when when the ASPCA showed up wanting the money that was advertised that had been raised in a benefit that they knew nothing about. When caught, Chuck choked and tried to hand over $100, then the ASPCA refused it because they didn't want to have anything to do with people of your caliber. Maybe everyone at the DZ aren't criminals, but the mangement and ownership damn sure is! And they are associated with the management. The behavior that you and your buddies display says otherwise. If he were the only one who didn't like the owner and his business practices, you may have a point there, but because there an overwhelming hate for the owner/company in the skydiving industry, he just happens to be one of the few who has the balls to step up to the plate and try to do something about it. The point was that you guys are having a coach course, no arguements there, and that Amy chick appears to be selling her signatures, so if you were to have some students that fail, not saying they will, she would be glad to sign them off in trade for a jump. Why would SET waste their time training candidates if they are planning to jump at AST, or shall I say a Skyride DZ? That sounds hypocritical to me. Where? I read that page over and over again and the only thing I can see that's been canceled is the FJC, which perhaps some coach course candidates were planning to attend to meet the requirement of assisting in an FJC. Correct, it says the FJC was canceled, so how can the candidates get the signature if they didn't do the FJC? There will be no addressing the customers as "Bitches", "Morons" or "Retards"!

It says "The First Jump Course has been canceled" Then says she will sign you off. It don't say anything about teaching her anything. It does not say anything about the jump that this will cost, going towards the first jump course or any other kind of training. It just says it will "cost you a jump". My understanding of that is she will sign me off and I buy her a jump, pay manifest for her to have a jump on account or just give her the money for a jump. Hey Southern, South East and Mid Atlantic Jumpers, I noticed that Skydive East Tennessee is having a Coach course this week. I just learned that if for some reason, you don't pass the course, it's ok, Call Amy Gravlee at AST and she will sign off on your ticket and all it will cost you is a jump. I'm thinking she may even do it by snail mail to save you the travel expense. For more info, see the attachment. There will be no addressing the customers as "Bitches", "Morons" or "Retards"!

I miss the hell out of Clinton! In 1996, I especially miss that .88 cents a gallon. I was even on Hillary's campaign here in Kokomo/Indy to hopefully get someone in there who knows how to straighten this mess out. Make yourself useful to the DZ you want to jump at and you can most likely get more jumps than you can do. Your attitude about up jumpers not being able to jump at whatever DZ without offering to do something to benefit the DZ is the reason why a lot of DZ's don't cater to up jumpers. Step back and look at the business side of it and put yourself in the DZO's shoes, would you rather send the plane (C-182 or other 4 seater) up for a load of 4 up jumpers at $20 per seat, totaling $80, or a Tandem load plus video at $300 + or -? I've heard jumpers bitching about a DZ is not up jumper friendly and I've heard DZO's bitching about Up jumpers don't pay the bills, so it's business decision not to cater to up jumpers, or to at least put them in front of the Tandems. I realize that you are still fairly new in our sport and you may find this hard to accept, but it's the cold hard truth of this business. Put a camera on your helmet, help promote the websites, be the water boy, You will find that a DZO will often appreciate that and you will get more jumps than sitting around in the middle of the night bitching on DZ.com (and making a horse's ass of yourself) and calling them bastards for making a conscious business decision. When I show up at a DZ, I always make the effort to let the DZO know that I am available to do video or pack or anything else that he/she may need help with at the time. Hell, I've even washed the planes before. Give that a try and see if it don't get you further than a bunch of bitching and whining. Nascar driver, Tony Stewart jumped with the Golden Knights in Ohio this past week and they just interviewed him in the pre-race show at Dover. He talked about how much fun it was and that it was "Definitely not his last jump"! I called a friend on mine who works for his pit crew and he said Tony is jacked up and ready to do it again!
