It tells me all I need to know. You have to understand the times then. The United States was at war with the Japanese. ISIS stands little chance of orchestrating any massive attacks on American soil, but they can and will carry out lone wolf attacks or small coordinated attacks if they are able to carry out their planning without detection by sympathizers pledging allegiance to ISIS that are already here. Who knows when or where the next attack comes? We have pretty good intel depts (CIA/FBI/ETC) trying to keep tabs on as much as they can, but they can't cover everything. Now... several state governors have already declared their states will not accept Syrian refugees due to the fact that the Paris attacks were carried out by at least 2 "refugees" that recently entered the country roughly a month or so ago. Is that a harsh decision? Probably. Could any of those refugees be ISIS sympathizers that want to plan and carry out attacks here if they could sneak in? Who knows? Should we take that risk?
