wish i was going with you guys! have fun!

Was in Seattle for vacation over Christmas and New Years, only got to make it up there once but everyone was welcoming and friendly. Filled out paperwork, they grabbed an instructor to give me a briefing on the alternate landing area (seperate landing areas for different experience levels) and introduced me to another belly flyer, they even lent me a jumpsuit. The views were incredible and I was very happy to be there. Definitely will be going back!

-take another canopy course to help me get more comfortable, the first one helped tremendously -stay current and jump more than every two weeks or so, need to get to some bigger boogies too -get up to 200 jumps and most on my belly so I can get my ass to big way camp! -Be safe and keep my name out of the incidents/blue skies forums -really hoping i can make it through a year without losing friends, the past couple of years have been really bad.

Pretty sure Spaceland near Houston is doing a big party and may be doing night jumps if there is enough interest.... wish I could head that way. Its an awesome place with some awesome people!

I'm going to be staying in Pioneer Square... how far is Kapowsin and are they open the 26th or anytime during the week?

I'm flying into Seattle on Christmas day and will be there until the 4th of Jan, bringing my gear in hopes the weather may be good for a jump or two... Thinking Snohomish is my best bet... anyone around?

A couple of groups, mostly older kids not in costume... some younger kids with their parents. whatever happened to the days of endless doorbells and awesome costumes?! people don't even try anymore!!

I jump at The Ranch pretty regularly and I only fly on my belly, ask manifest to point me (Ali) out to you and I'll belly fly with you! I only have 80 jumps but I'll jump with anyone who wants to have some fun. I tried free flying for a few jumps and decided I wasn't ready and that I quite enjoy belly flying. I'd be happy to fly with you.

I've jumped at both CK and The Ranch, The Ranch is home and I worked for CK for a season. I can help you.

What size canopy are you flying? I'm a pretty skinny/wimpy chick and when I was flying the 240's and 200's I found it took all the strength I had to flare, I'm on a 170 now and I notice a huge difference with my flare. I was never sore from flaring but with everything your doing (tunnel time and jumping) I could see being sore. Listen to your instructors, they know best.

:1:0 1 Freezing cold jump at The Ranch on Saturday, got to jump with my boyfriend and a really good friend so even though it was freezing it was worth it.

Got to jump earleir then I thought I would! Jumped the otter at Crosskeys on Saturday, only got one but it was fun, and not as cold as I thought it would be!

Thanks for the PSA, I think its something everyone needs to understand. I lost 4 people this year alone to suicide and my uncle 8 years ago plus numerous friends over the years and have been there myself. Condolences to you and his family. If you need someone to talk to let me know.

Spaceland is awesome, lots of big planes and awesome people, you could always take a trip or two over to Skydive Houston, its not that far away, never jumped there but met some pretty cool people from there while working at Spaceland.

haha thanks for that! I'm having a crappy day at work (2 hours into the day) and it made me laugh hysterically! People in my office thought I was nuts!

We had two of them on the dropzone that I worked at in New Jersey for awhile.. tons of bad weather, slow day or after jumping fun!

None this year yet... first one should be out of an otter or a cessna at Crosskeys Freezefest!

I've heard great things about it but its out on limited release and I can't find a theater anywhere near me thats playing it!

I manifested at 2 different dropzones for the past two years. Just gave it up to move to upstate NY with my boyfriend. Unemployed and desperate for a job in Albany now but I don't regret moving. I adore my boyfriend and he is really really supportive. I miss being at the dropzone all the time but to be honest its nice to go as a fun jumper and actually be able to hang out instead of being stuck in the box! I'm looking for any admin/clerical work I can find right now, I want to be able to enjoy evenings and weekends off again!

my boyfriend just bought it... and asked me to make him coffee... i'm just going to assume he'll be up all night!
