Are you planning on getting a new FF2? If you are there is no extra expense the cutaway is included in the price as i found out when buying my FF3. Its a tidy affair as well no bulky chin cup no more.

Be aware that buying a helmet that is camera-specific potentially limits your options for future camera designs/models/sizes. I recomend the FF3, i had a pc109 when i originally bought my FF3 of course sods law the thing got dropped and was uneconomical to repair so i got hold of a hc3 all i had to do was buy a new camera cover form the guys at 2kc which was a straight swap so very easy and very cheap and not as wide as you might think.

Some guy i know bought a plain Fuzion at the BPA AGM with the intention of adding the necesary bits at a later date.Worth a look

Spent a little while deciding but went with 2KC. Funds were short so decided on a Quick mount on the side and just a plain bracket kit but will when i can afford it i will get a camera box and possibly a top mount fitted. Love it!!

If your buying new the cutaway should be already fitted?

Back to helmet cutaways, thankfully not had to use one yet. I have just changed the cutaway on my FF2 which was the webbing and rings type to the new button cutaway i think they call it. They suggest drilling the hole where the ratchet strap bolt goes to 10mm and use a round file to open the hole up a little more to fit the inner part. Not having a round file had to make do with a biro and some sand paper which did the trick.System works well.

Hi Im in the uk and was in a similar position whether to buy camcorders using ebay. I eventually bought and was very happy with the deal. Like any thing its a matter of doing your homework on the product, know how much you would expect to pay and check out the feedback the seller has been given in the past. Ps i used the classified on this site and got ripped off by the guy but with ebay you will get help if you have problems.

They have them on ebay but until im convinced by an owner i will wait.

Has anyone seen or own one of 2k composites new style cutaways? as i was thinking of investing in one but wanted to know if they are any improvement on the old style before handing over my hard earned!!

Noticed TonFly and Rava have recently recieved a kicking now it must be 2kcomposites turn!! Have used 2kc several times directly,via email and also through ebay and each time i have been given a courteous and efficient service.

I can only agree theres far more to be concentrating on that what track to listen to on exit!, save the music for chilling on the ground.

Hi All I recently advertised on the classifieds looking for sony camcorders, i used this method because i thought i could trust the people that may contact me. I was offered a Hc26 in hindsight i should have asked for photos, license details etc but i foolishly thought it would be safe. I got a parcel through containing a lovely sony hc26 box and in its a samsung which would be no good to anybody. So if your offered anything double check what they have to offer. And if your out there Jerry van b******d or whatever your name is pay back will come my friend.

i had been interested in the zkulls but had heard similar remarks and had posted a question recently about them. Would be very interested to hear how you get on with the helmet after you have put a few jumps on it.

Thanks for that. Talking about these mounts with somebody last weekend, he mentioned that the ones he has seen have a fair bit of play them.Has there been any reports of camera vibration due to this?

Hi I have one of these (FF3) no problem so far with it in fact i was suprprised how tight the bungee closes the box. out of interest where was the bungee cord when you inspected the helmet :hanging down or above the box nearer the hinge?

there were some of these on ebay last week not sure if still for sale

I can recomend 2kc they supplied a helmet for my wife(ff3) she needed so extra padding around the jaw area which was done as part of the price and the fit is awsome.

I asked for more info on this, they are still to fix a price on this helmet more to follow on the website soon was the answer. looks good though.

Hi i saw some ratchet straps on ebay recently dont know if they are still on there or if they would be of any use to you.

Check out the entry on the 11th oct by AS1 about his FF3 from 2kcomposites.Might give you another option.

Hi ya Try ebay I bought some its the dogs danglers, i even used it on my motorcycle helmet water just beads of the outside and the inside stays unmisted,best stuff ive found so far.
