  1. Just drive to the DZ, jump and make new friends, cause you will never get those people that don't skydive to understand, and don't try to force it on anyone. Try to show you passion for our awesome sport and circle of friends and the best you can hope for is that its rubs off on them. Blue Skies!!. "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  2. Being anywhere thats high enough to kill you if you fall...... but not high enough to wear my rig cause it won't do any good anyway "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  3. If I'm at my desk I have the window open. I'm reading or posting for only an hour or so .......ok maybe more than that "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"

Hey! isn't that Scott!! I think it is! "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  5. I think we all have a responsibility to ourselves, our pilots and dropzones to keep our gear up to date even if we don't agree with the current rules. Like any other rules and regulations we have the ability to lobby and petition to change if we so desire. I think that often rules and standards are set for the time they are put into place, and need to be looked at again as time passes and technology changes. my 2cents "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  6. I started jumping my stiletto 150 loaded at about 1.3 when I had about 100 jumps. I now have about 225 and would not suggest you do the same. I am still very careful about all of my inputs and and controls. Take your time and have fun. Consider malfunctions and all difficult landing areas and situations. 7. Stiletto 150 main and PD143 reserve - I will probably go to a stiletto 135 by the end of this season and I will keep my reserve the same. (even if I downsize more some day) "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  8. I think I'll look at mine a bit closer this weekend - Thanks "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  9. It's gotta be the shoes .... just get yourself a nice pair of "vans" and you'll be hooked up. (actually just wear whatever your comfortable in and get gear as you can afford it and have fun) "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  10. I've been jumping a stiletto 150 for about 125 jumps and it always opens slow and snivels for 600 feet or so. I pack it very simple, flake it,check the lines, quarter the slider, wrap the tail around and roll the shit out of it. A perfect opening every time. Well, Almost every time, I think it cracked me once. At times its almost to slow. Just my two cents "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  11. I've put about 100 jumps or so on my stiletto 150. Loaded about 1.2, Its my first ellipticle and I've been told that its about as light as I should go. Its been a fun canopy to jump and I'll step down to a 135 some time this year. "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  12. Welcome to the "zone" - Myself and a couple of friends jumped at gobles last year, had a good time. If we get there this year we'll look you up. blue skies "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  13. After you get just the right amount of jumps, get yourself a stiletto - roll the crap out of it ....jamb it in the bag.... grab your hackey and watch it "snivel" "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  14. I tried that and it didn't work. I kind of think I did it when I started originally and it won't let you change or modify your screen name. I was hoping MR or Mrs webmaster could fix the prob. "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  15. Can anyone fix screen name so it doesn't show up in cap's? I changed it in my profile but it didn't change? "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  16. OK - with all that being said, I'm a newer jumper(250 jumps) flying a stiletto loaded at 1.35. when do you recommend starting to fly the more stable air locked canopy. What wing load should you even consider? Don't get me wrong I'm not looking to screw myself in the ground, I'm trying to learn more canopy stats and characteristics from the people who are flying them.
