  1. Coaching coaching coaching!! I know you said you don't have a lot of experienced freeflyers out there in your area...but I suggest telling the boss to f*ck himself/herself and take a trip for a week, get a lot of coaching jumps in a short amount of time from a really good coach, and you'll get it. Head down is one of the easier positions....once you get it you get it, the rest is all precision....and coaching can help you with that too. Good luck!
  2. Matter....cuz they rock out with your glock out. Wrong Way D #27371 Mal Manera Rodriguez Cajun Chicken Ø Hellfish #451 The wiser wolf prevails.

  4. I didn't know him extremely well, but he and I had some cool jumps at the Richmond boogie a few years back. I remember that "Bueno is bueno". He still is. Wrong Way D #27371 Mal Manera Rodriguez Cajun Chicken Ø Hellfish #451 The wiser wolf prevails.
  5. That's awesome, man. This post put a smile on my face.
  6. I don't think it really matters. Personally I love jumping with people right off student status. It's a learning thing, everyone has been there, no one was born with 4000 skydives, and anyone who thinks they are "too good" to jump with you or anyone else is a cocky chump. Oh and another thing you'll learn is that no matter how many jumps you make, you'll never be happy with your skill level. You'll be doing things that right now you couldn't dream of and be thinking "God I freakin' SUCK!". All in all, just don't try anything too soon, and keep a positive attitude. Respect should already be there from the people you know (or they're jerks), and if you don't see it now, wait till you get in a jam and they're there. Shit, if I ever make it out your way, dude we're gonna jump together. Edited to add: Isn't Flying Tigers in Pennsylvania? Sounds familiar but I have no clue. I'm gonna pee my pants if I'm right. 11. Man that sounds like a lot of fun! I'll have to check my schedule.
  12. Haha good stuff... Personally I like the skate shoes just cuz they're flat and COMFY. Plus they're low tops so I never have to retie them, and that's good when you consider my short bus education. The bunny's ears wrrap around the hole...damn I can never remember how that goes. But yes, I thoroughly enjoy the comfort of my Vans. So sue me. And and for the record, I don't think the "style" of shoe will hugely affect one's freeflying per se. Who gives a shit about the shape and whatnot, I don't think the difference in grip is going to make me cork out, lol. Still, I think there is much to consider between, for example, the ankle support of high tops versus the comfort and flexibility of low tops. Everything is a personal preference, and nothing more.
